Official Transfer (bullshit) Rumours Thread.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Arsène Wenger will look to strengthen his side anywhere and everywhere over the summer.

The Frenchman has suggested he will be active in the transfer market in the close season after Arsenal’s 2010/11 campaign tailed off in the last couple of months. At Friday’s press conference, the manager was understandably coy about his plans however it did suggest every area would be scrutinised.

Its the "we want to keep all our players" part that is doing my fcuking head in - half the *word censored* are not worth keeping but as a result every other club knows that they aint worth buying   :banghead:

I am 100% sure that wenger will use most of his summer trying to persuade cesc and nasri to stay and then cite that as a reason why he signed fcuk all......again
I have to say that whether he knows or not that the fans are turning against him surely he must see that his key players are losing faith in him and his idea's ? If he hasnt got the 100% support of his players then he has no fcuking hope

We feature pretty heavily on the BBC's Transfer Bullshit page today

Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri is a £30m target for Bayern Munich. (News of the World)

Won't happen - we'll have a few of these stories for him before he signs a whopper new deal just in time to get a serious pre-season injury. We'll all have to be grateful to Mr.Knows as the player confirms that he is the main reason behind his decision to stay at the club

The Gunners meanwhile are ready to fight Manchester City and Liverpool for Everton's sought after full-back Leighton Baines. (News of the World)

Errr....he's English and this involves parting with cash. I think not

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been given the go-ahead to leave the Spanish club and join Arsenal for £25m.
Full story: Metro

Basically means Real are hawking him around Europe to get funds together for another £60m+ signing. Clubs like Bayern outbid us for a player like this. Only possibility is as a makeweight in a deal for Fabregas which means we'll get less than his true market value.

I have just been told that a major transfer has already been completed.

I cannot name names but I can say that the player in question started his career at West Ham before joining Chelsea.

The player joined a North West side on a free transfer last season but has been a huge disappointment due to failing to settle in the area and having everything he owns stolen by his neighbours.

My source is very reliable as the person who told me went to different schools together with the players cousin.

If Nasri stays(although i still have my doubts he will) it will come out that he has signed a 4 year deal but there will be a deal done like with Cesc if we win fuck all again he can go if a club comes in with a reasonable offer

If Benzema joins us Cesc will be part of the deal with Madrid and it aint gonna happen.Although Cesc will go

Baines just the type of LB we need.Clichy has been poor for years now and Gibbs is not ready. But City need a LB and will blow us out of the water so a no-no

Gerry Armstrong, who knows a thing or two about Spanish football, said on Talksport the other day that a deal for Arsenal to sign Benzema has been agreed in principle but hinges on Real Madrid being able to take Tevez from Citeh.

Really? Madrid have been linked with Nasri and with Clichy for a while, you would think that any deal for him would include one of those two as we would never spend 25m on one player.

15m and Clichy or 10m and Nasri is more realistic.

Benzema is just the kind of player we need to be fair and the rumours on this one are stronger than your usual caughtoffside bullshit. It's clear Benzema isn't settled at Madrid and even though he has a great scoring record there he doesn't get a lot of game time.

I'll believe it when I see it though!
