I don't see anyone claiming this on this thread. Just that he's having a good season. or do you disagree with that? and I'm not sure about Best being the best British player ,either.
He might have been the best UK player or the best Irish player but, being Northern Irish, Best wasn't British.

And highburyJD, if Alex hasn't won that vote for the last 10 years, I'd be shocked.
