Carl Jenkinson signs....

Hope for some reason he doesn't find his way on here, as his joy will pretty much be wiped out by reading the comments of you miserable lot.

Welcome to the Home of Football Carl :barscarf:
I am, like yourself, pleased for the kid making his dream move...however, right now we dont need kids and future stars, we need established stars for now..that is why ppl are reacting this way

I 2nd that.

fucking hell lads just chill out a bit. In my book its a signing, and he looks pretty decent. Looks like a Chris smalling type transfer to me and he's established himself as a first teamer pretty quickly.

Its June and the transfer window isnt even offically open for feck sake, so this is a bonus if anything.

put the bics away lads, you dont have to go slashing your wrists just yet.

You lot do make me laugh....!

He is over 6' tall...... :barscarf:
He comes from a family of gooners......:barscarf:
He is English (albeit that qualifies for Finland through his mum).....:barscarf:
He is an adult not a kid.....:barscarf:

He lacks experience, and if this is the only signing of the summer then you have a point, but as a step in the right direction.....he ticks every other box!

Welcome to Arsenal Carl.

And also this was a signing that was agreed last season. Has nothing to do with whatever plans AW has for this summer. Plus it will speed up Eboue's exit which I think we can all agree is a bonus.

I'm expecting and demanding the big and experienced signings that we need as much as anyone else, but come on, you lot really need to chill out a bit on here.

It doesn't matter a fuck whether Wenger has signed a 19 year old rookie or the best defender in the world. The problem is Wenger, our end of season capitulation is all the evidence anyone needs to prove that.
He can't motivate and has lost the respect and the control of the players around him.

So what should we do?

Also. I think we've paid in the region of £3.5m for this lad? Im sure someone will let me know the exact figure, but this comes on the day that Liverpool spalshed out £20m for Jordon Henderson

Who will have made the better signing at the end of next season. We shall see?

p.s. didnt know the transfer window opened a month earlier in england then it does in Europe. But ow does that work then if we want to sign a player from mainland europe and their market stall is closed?? surely that gives england an unfair trade advantage over spain and italy et al.
