Sebastian larsson

I'd actually be happy to take him back which is more due to the crap we currently have rather than his ability.

Good strength and bottle, not afraid to put his foot in, exactly what the others lack. Also good set-prices as already mentioned.

That will soon stop once he joins, thus he'll more likely look for the pass. Tut, tut we'll have none of these "shooting" nonsense.

Another squad player, should this deal materialise and again NOT what we require. IMHO.

He wasn't good enough or moved to further his career considering who was infront of him?

He did alright at Birmingham and would give good service, you have to compare him to our current options out wide, he is free, I would simply because he would have a point to prove and put a shift in unlike some of the rest that stroll around, if he sits on the bench all year then so be it.

He's not good enough, were not good enough, perfect fit....

For me the references to Denilson are not helpful. I don't think we should be considering Larsson just because he's less shit than a really shit player.
B'ham are his level.

looks to be sunderland bound and appears to have rejected fulham, villa and arsenal (who unsurprisingly wouldnt offer him first team football) http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11695_6991628,00.html . Can't say I'm overly excited like- does he have anything to his game other than a decent cross and set piece? Whenever i've seen him he's seemed fairly sluggish and not entirely skilful but maybe i just havent seen enough of him, I'm sure you lot will have a better idea of his game even though its been a while since he was with you. A "solid" addition on a free i suppose, no worse than Bentley who would cost a shit load in wages despite being shite for a good while, but like i say, cant say im jumping around at the prospect of him joining

He's a decent winger with his best attributes being his crossing and set piece delivery. He works hard too and pretty versatile; remember him playing left back and center midfield in the handful of games he played for us. He'd do a job for you and good replacement for Henderson.

nice one, cheers mate. yeah, tbh he actually sounds quite like henderson (henderson had a great range of passing as well, but then his set piece delivery was woeful, so its swings and roundabouts!), so I suppose a £20m profit cant be sniffed at. Not an exciting signing, but we need a few squad fillers and it seems like Larsson will do a job on the right. Now we just need to keep gyan (media reporting that we've emailed clubs saying hes available for transfer, which we'd better not have done) and bring in a few more

Larsson's passing is probably as good as Henderson's I reckon, and on a free it's shrewd business by Bruce. Now get a decent target man to get on the end of Seb's crosses and you'll score shitloads.

Larsson would be a big improvement over Denilson or Roshitsky and would command less in wages too. He's probably better than Diaby as well so if some people are saying they don't want to improve our squad then I'm surprised. No, we wouldn't want him as a guaranteed first choice but as a squad player he is definitely an improvement on what we have and that has to be our initial aim - improve! Wenger is not going to sign 10-15m players to replace the likes of Denilson and Roshitsky.........or is everyone happy keeping them now?

If he was English he would be alot more hyped in my opinion. He's certainly better than Bentley I think and he went for 15m pounds a few years ago.

I'd take him in our squad right now, so for Sunderland he is a good transfer if it goes off.
