A club of our size, stature and history shouldnt be fcuking around putting up statues and the like - it's alright for a club like coventry to put one up of jimmy hill (though I am sure that chin will be a health and safety concern

) but we have had so many people contribute massively to the club over the years so how do you choose and where do you draw the line ?
Failing that I would have a statue of David Dein or George Graham

George Graham, wasn't he a postie on Avenell Road, some time before Arsenal was founded in October 1996?

Oh well, that'll be a coventry statue being well and truly abused when sunderland next visit, be lucky if its still standing after the match (genuinely).
Anyway, I'm not sure Arsenal need a statue. We've got one of Bob Stokoe since we've won nothing since '73, but I think if you win quite a lot there's maybe not much point unless you're going to have a load of statues and every manager who has won you a top flight title could get one. How abouts save it until someone wins you the CL, then build him a statue 20 years later?

The band leader from the old days, somehow finding a way to suspend the baton in mid-air to commemorate the ritual carried out in front of the Northbank.

What'd you expect, he founded the club, gave birth to Thierry Henry, and brought such footballing luminaries as Eboue Almunia and Denilson to us.
