Ignoring Euro cup tied players and the fantasy options (Kaka, Messi etc):
Eto'o - Not going to happen, but I still think we could do with a bit more something up front, and I think he won't have played in Champs' League this year and there are fresh rumours he may leave Barca.
Berbatov! As above re needing more up front, plus the enjoyment of nicking their best player!
Modric - Though now apparently Chelsea are in for him.
Giles Barnes - Young, talented, left-footed winger, a Londoner and ready to move - perfect!
Scott Carson (if Lehmann goes)

Definately agree there Chunky, even Megson singled him out for praise after Bolton's draw in Munich, sayin that he'd never seen a better player, and I think he was the one player AW definately wanted in the summer but was outbid which is why Bayern had to cough up the full asking price of 23M, and either he refused to pay that much or felt that we still cannot afford that much for another couple of years!Chunky The Gooner wrote: Id like to see Franck Ribery . I liked the look of him for Marseille and France and from what Ive seen on telly he is doing the business for Bayern.

No. He's not in the Villareal side because their team is based upon quick passing and energetic interplay (sound familiar) and he needs to have the team play for and around him.26may1989 wrote:Again, not going to happen, but to add a bit of experience and talent, even if only for half a season on loan, how about Riquelme?
And how often does Wenger buy in mid-season like this?

Jose Reyes arrived in Jan so it is not beyond the bounds of possibility that we will sign someone. I totally agree with Rebel in that our keeper situation is a serious cause for concern and is not strong enough to bring trophies to THOF 2. Personally I get a bit fed up of us trying to acheive success on the cheap and would like us to sign a top top keeper like buffon(although I do prefer casillas) but le boss shows players like almunia too much loyalty at times and backs himself into a corner and cant/wont replace them. I still think we need another out and out striker with pace but chances of signing 2 players in jan are very slim - its no wonder we are one of the richest clubs in the world when we dont spend the cash
