London Riots

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

If you live by the sword then dont complain when you die by the sword - the guy wasnt carrying around a gun for decoration purposes and he also used it to shot at the cops so he deserved what he fcuking got imo.
These days there is always some do gooder group or another trying to defend scumbags instead of concerning themselves with the victims who have suffered at the hands of these scumbags previously.......shoot the do-gooders first I say 8)

Riot does not surprise me, even though millions of pounds poured into Broadwater Farm since 80's riot, a Saturday night in the middle of summer is prime time for tension to escalate, kids are bored.
Either bored or morally corrupt thugs, petty criminals and drug dealers. Raised in homes with poor parental influence. Time we stopped making excuses for these people. Zero tolerance.
Spot on.

He shot at the officer first.Thats not a sign he wanted to surrender peacefully. The gun crime in Tottenham and Edmonton is frightening.A terrible area run by gangs

Exactly, if your going to shoot at cops then expect to get blasted back. These riots are a joke. Like somebody said earlier, when a youngster gets knifed or shot, nobody wants to talk.

Looks like we're not the only Edmonton with homicide troubles, then!

He was armed.
Once he shot at the police, he was going to be shot back. Of course.

But nonetheless, am interested to know what other crimes if any he had been convicted of/suspected of other than gun possession, and what opportunity there was for an arrest?

Did the police shout adequate warnings?

Reports say a cousin of his had been recently killed, in such circumstances he may have been paranoid for his own safety.

He was targeted by Trident, thus he must have been known. Tbh I've always found Edmonton to be worse than Tottenham. But the fact that these places aren't heavily policed is baffling at times. I know this is slightly isolated, but the fuckers just get to walk freely around

First off its sad to see thing has escalated to such a level.

But I have to say is DO NOT take police statements as fact. Anyone remember charles de mendes and all the bullshit accounts that came out before we actually found out the truth.

I do not condone drug dealing, or being involved with crime, or holding a firearm for that matter. But before people jump to steriotyped opinions, lets wait till all the facts are out in the open.

I remember people on here posting on how Ian Tomlinson "got what was comming to him", before all the facts were released who are very quiet on the subject now, so i woulnt just believe the initial police statements, with recent revelations it should be the opposite.
