Jack out for 2 months!

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Not only do I think this is true, but I also think we won't see Jack again until the New Year! The total incompetence of our medical team is quite staggering - do any ofthem actually have any qualifications! I have never seen a top club have so many injuries as us and worse when we get what should be a 'minor' injury it lasts for months! What are the physios doing to the players smashing their legs with hammers!! :banghead:

The medical can't stop the injuries it's who ever is providing the fitness and conditional coaching.

Shit! Why not blame the paramedics that carried Ramsey!

I have been telling EVERYONE that Wilshere is going to be injured for much of this season. It doesn't surprise me in the least, and I feel like this won't be his only injury/setback this season.

The body deteriorates rapidly when you overuse it, especially at a young age. This 19 year old superstar is being expected to carry both Arsenal and England and you're already starting to see the effects of it. This is what Wenger's mismanagement gets; when you force so much weight onto the back of a young star, injuries are going to come up at an alarming rate.

Get some proper fucking midfielders in there and take some of the burden on Jack before we mire his career before it even really gets going.

Wenger has now confirmed Jack is out for '2 to 3 weeks'

So we can expect him out for 5-6 weeks then.

Of course at any other 'big' club, the loss of one (still relatively inexperienced) 19 year old would not be met with such despair. For us, this is a near disaster thanks to the fact that Wenger has so negligently failed to strengthen the squad in recent times.

International Week coming up so that's handy in a way, though we'll miss him for United (I would expect him to have signed SOMEONE by then)

He's only had one full season, I doubt its the start of a decline

This club needs ripping up and starting over again. Incompetence everywhere.

From Pravda
Ahead of Wednesday's game against Udinese, Arsene Wenger said: "Unfortunately Wilshere is not ready. Maybe it is a consequence of last season, he was in the red like I told you and in fairness what nobody wanted to hear. We knew he was in the red in the last two months and we continued to play him because we had no choice. But maybe it is a consequence of the overuse last year. For me Jack was always out long-term because he was out three weeks. It’s a hot-spot on the bone of his ankle so if he continues to play it can lead to a more serious problem. So we had to stop him.â€
