Given his track record, he may well be serious as well.

Lets face it though...he would be stupied to say anything else at this stage, it would just drive prices up..plus if he doesn't find anyone available (which may well happen with such limited amount of time) it will look even worse.

Anything is possible but i would not be surprised if he does not buy any replacements. He has done such stupid things before and not just once

Wenger will do what Wenger always does .. You will here world class names like Hazard being mentioned then on the 1st Sept Wenger will say : Errr we tried to sign many players but so did everyone else.. I am happy with the squad, selling all our best players has given the rest more mental strength
