Refund for away fans
Fair play to them tbh. It might just be a choice of "lesser" away games, but its still something that they didnt have to do. I know 8-2 was a one off mauling, but I'm not actually a big fan of clubs giving refunds to fans who have chosen to go to a game. Everyone travels knowing perfectly well that their team might play shite, nowadays some fans (like i say, this result was a one off so i dont really mean the gooners) just scream like bitches for a refund everytime a result badly goes against their side. I've seen sunderland take some fucking pastings away from home and put in a lot of half hearted shite performances, but i dont want a refund for it, its just what happens- we werent asked to pay extra when we fucked chelsea 3-0 at the bridge so i wouldnt expect money back when newcastle fuck us 5-1 at st james.
I tend to think that if the players are genuinely sorry, instead of the club giving fans a refund they should donate half their weeks wages to a local charity should they so wish, they'd survive on 50% of their pay for a week, its still more than they deserve for the weeks "efforts", and it would be a proper gesture that would show they are aware that the performance was a disgrace and one which might make a genuine difference to people in the area

If it is Bolton away on a Tuesday night in January that sums up Arsenal Football Club in 2011.
Please prove me wrong Arsenal, but you've finally given me some hope there is still an element of class left in some deep, dark corner of the club's operations. Three words - The Arsenal Way. Don't snatch that hope away now.

To be fair, they DIDN'T have to do this.... It was your choice to go! u all knew when you bought the tickets that cesc and nasri were on their way out and that we didn't have a chance...
If you want to go, go...if you don't want to go, don't go....
don't whinge when they're trying to do something good.

I hope so. Mind you I did spend about another 300 quid on petrol, hotels and beer etc as well! Not a cheap weekend at all!!!Rosie_titters wrote:same mate, so i presume who ever you bought it off, will get the letter in the post stating which gamecardinal2011 wrote:I got two tickets through the For Sale section on here!!!!

that's why i said this will open a can of worms, you are also £300 out of pocket, when and what would they pay for..will the refund you hotel, petrol and refreshments if you have proof. This could be a bad move for the whole of football,

A nice but flawed gesture by the club as all fixtures automatically have 1000 away scheme members at the game anyway thus meaning it is heavily likely that a choice of 1 of:
Wigan (A) Sat 3pm t.b.c Dec
Bolton (A) Tues 19:45 t.b.c Jan
Sunderland (A) Sat 3pm t.b.c Feb
are likely to be offered to cover the capacities and also to maximize the clubs profits from official travel to these games and thus profiting rather than loosing money although not from those traveling independently.

That sounds like a cracking list of fixtures, use it for the Sunderland game, I can just tell that this season its really going to be a clash of the titans what with us both being shit, might as well all just get pissed instead and stay in the pubElliotGooner wrote:A nice but flawed gesture by the club as all fixtures automatically have 1000 away scheme members at the game anyway thus meaning it is heavily likely that a choice of 1 of:

Admittedly this would defeat the purpose of the free match ticket like but still, even if its free im not convinced its value for money where our teams are concerned

You can have the free ticket to replace the United one you got from me for whichever game it turns out to be, for a small admin fee!Rosie_titters wrote:same mate, so i presume who ever you bought it off, will get the letter in the post stating which gamecardinal2011 wrote:I got two tickets through the For Sale section on here!!!!

I might be in the minority but I would never have expected a refund on any game that I've ever been to, due to the performance.
I don't go to away games anymore, but I was at Old Trafford in 2001 for the 6-1, and I would never have contemplated a refund. Plus many other piles of shit over the years.
I'm glad if people do get something out of the greedy fuckers at the club, but I just don't get it in general.
