I think Floyd.

He is giving away a stone in weight on the night, but he is so fast he will be fine.

A level above Ortiz.

Floyd is chosing his punches.
Commanding performance, three rounds gone.

One of the all-time controversial endings.

There should be a rematch.

Not that Ortiz will win, but because the referee made a mess of things.

As for the ending, Floyd was within the rules, but ungentlemanly.

He then disgraced himself by shouting at the American interviewer. No need for that.

im not sure quartz done you need the ref to say fight?

either way, the whole thing at the end with larry seemed staged. Ortiz didnt seem to give a shit, although clearly still out of it.

Cortez didnt even see the punch, he could have head butted him for all he knew. He should be banned.

This has left a bad taste, now more than ever do i want to see pacman knock him out.

Strictly speaking Mayweather broke the rules by punching before the referee said "Box On".

But he threw a jab, Ortiz protested, and the referee did nothing.

So Mayweather was using common sense, and not intentionally in violation of the referee's command, when he followed up with the KO punch.

I think precedent will let Floyd remain as winner, and a rematch be ordered.

The precedent fight I am thinking of is the one about 15 years ago when the fighter threw a punch on the final bell, it connected, and Knocked Out his opponent. I cannot remember the fighter's name but I think it was a Colombian (Tomas?) at light-welterweight or light-middleweight who has since died.

The referee needs to be retired.

If the argument at the end was staged it was stupid, bad taste and an insult to paying fans.
