Where do we go from here...?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I actually thought he had at least a season in him

I respect him for what he has done for the club, but its time we take a new direction, NOT an AW mould.

He simply has to go!

I don't know why people have such a downer on Hitler he did a really good job building Germany up in the thirties...Yet people just want to judge him on his last few years in charge..They should have more respect for his achievements and not focus so much on the negatives of what was, overall a great career....

Back to football....

The last thing we need is Wenger going upstairs, he takes little enough responsibilities for his failings now..i don't want him upstairs dictating his policies to a new manager and the new manager taking the flak for them whilst he lords it from the safety of the boardroom...

I think the way ahead could well be for the fans to start calling for Usmanov, the current board and owner like the last owner are so intertwined with Wenger they will continue to back him regardless, so there is almost no point in calling for Wengers head...But if there are loud calls for Uzi to take over, either Kroenke will sell to him to avoid becoming the boogey man or he will enforce a change of policy/manager to save his own arse/reputation, either way we will get the changes required....

Thats out of order. Yes he has royally fucked up amd we need a shift in the club from top down (board, manager, coaches, players) but to imply you want him to die? That is just wrong.

When Wenger steps down as manager i want him as far away from the club as possible, there is no way i want him moved upstairs we need a clean break from Mr.Knows and all his wanky philosophies

Where do we go from here...........downwards  :banghead:

We will not turn our fortunes around under wenger. Wenger will not walk away. This gutless cunting board will not sack him. Very hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel

Where do we go from here?
To Turkey, to get Hiddink to agree to take over.

The perfect man for the situation at hand (even if it’'s only short term) is about to become available at the exact same time that the pressure on Wenger reaches a critical mass. If the board miss this opportunity and stand behind Wenger they'll only be setting themselves up in the same firing line.

A manager whose strength lies in making teams stronger than the sum of their parts. Who has experience of both the PL and of taking over a team where anarchy had set in under the previous manager.

As weak as we are there's still the nucleus of a decent team there - Szcz, Sagna, Jack, Vermaelen, RVP, Arteta should be enough for a quality manager to build a good side around. Not talking title-winning quality, but top 4. And the likes of Gervinho, Mertesacker (albeit I'm not convinced by either yet), Ramsey, even Walcott etc should still be more than good enough not to be struggling against a premier league which is essentially 3/4 full of shite teams. And I'd hope Hiddink could bring the best out of Arshavin, which would (for once) genuinely be like a new signing.

Hiddink is essentially the get out of jail card. Knowing us though we'll dally around until he's agreed a job elsewhere before realising we need to act.
