this is seriously weird, flying out to San fran tomorrow for 2 weeks, going yosemite then back to pebble beach for a round, then, driving down coast to san diego, taking in the sights, then off up to vegas for the last few days of the trip.

SWL, fwank, TC, any recommendations on must see/visit/do things in the cali coast area, SF, SD, LA and LV would be greatly appreciated.

we are in the wynn in LV.

:D

The Wynn.... We were booked into there until we found out our mate had booked double rooms instead of twins for us 5 lads. The dozy fool. Make sure you go to the nightclubs. We did Tryst and Surrender. I think there's another one as well. All awesome.

If you're in San Fran for a couple of days and the Giants are at home, try to do that. We didn't book Alcatraz and therefore couldn't get on. Probably too late already if you haven't booked and want to go. There's a jet boat in the bay that's pretty good if you fancy it.

Along the coast, I would say that you're hitting all the best places anyway. Most of it is just scenery. Try to do Hearst Castle http://www.hearstcastle.org/ It was owned by some guy that was the richest man in the world at the time. You have to book in advance. Do it on-line. In San Diego, the GasLamp area is pretty cool. I got stitched up in Hooters, and had to lead all the birds around the bar doing the YMCA. Might be worth going there, and stiching one of your mates up in the same way.

Vegas is Vegas, but the Stratosphere is pretty cool The Coyote Ugly Bar is good, with the birds on the bar. I'f you're there on a Sunday, do the Hardrock Beach Party.

Order plenty of prozac for when you get back.

Yosemite's great. So is Pebble Beach.

Big Sur? Redwood Forests?

SD is lovely, just a great city. LA.. I went to Long Beach, which was a bit shit TBH. If you wanna do the tourist spots, do them, but I'm not the best bloke to ask about LA as I don't really like it and avoid it. SD on the other hand I spend as much time as possible in.

Tijuana's not bad if strippers, whores, gambling and drinking is your sort of thing. Bit rough though.

Went to work, went to McDonald's, picked up my son, put him to bed, watching Big Brother as England will be too dull.

This is how I roll.

Yosemite is an amazing place, jaw dropping scenery.

Vegas.......mmmmm where to start!!??

Firstly the important thing.....Titty bars out there can be different. A lot serve no alcohol at all, some allow touching, some don't, but even the ones that don't are better than the UK!

For a bit of an adrenalin rush you can do the ziplines at Bootleg Canyon, Jet Skiing on Lake Mead or shoot loads of different guns at the Gun store.

Club wise, there are obviously loads. Tao, Lavo, Pure are all good, there are many 'lounges' that are also 'clubby' too. There's one at the top of THEHotel called Mix that is on the top floor and has views of the strip, we went there, it was pretty good. Voodoo lounge in the Rio is also on the top floor as is Ghost bar in the Palms.

For fantastic Italian food, go to Maggiano's in the Fashion show Mall, it's very reasonably priced and fantastic food.
Gallaghers in NYNY do awesome steaks, we go a couple of times each time we are in Vegas.

Weather is mad out there at the moment. 6 or 7 days ago we had temps of 115 degrees, Wednesday and Thursday it was 66 degrees and raining hard with 30mph winds at times!!

Wynn is a lovely hotel.
You will not see a larger group of sexy women anywhere in the world than in Vegas!! Friday and Saturday nights are amazing.....copious amounts of clunge everywhere you turn in high heels and dresses that just cover the arse cheeks but let the breasts almost hang out! :barscarf:

I should have posted yesterday, but my son was ill yesterday, so I got away from work to look after him all day (he loves the Toy Stories...) and he stayed with me overnight (because I was on a late shift today) (Friday), so, despite Mr Butcher's weird protestations, some of his alleged clique have a life.. Love you Mr B...

Spend a thurs/fri/sat evening hitting up the bars on Pacific Beach, San Diego. My favourite is the open bar, overlooking the beach. Gaslamp district is good too (hooters, say no more).
