Going away in Europe.....

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

In Braga we walked to the stadium following the cops after a day long session. Under the stand there was only crowd control barriers seperating the 2 sets of fans.

*When I say ban, it was easy enough to get beer if you bought a pizza or some such in a bar/restaurant.

Imagine being in athens now!

Heard a lot of people say that I don't understand it.... We went on the bus which took us down to the beaches and also up to Notre Dam where you get views out to sea and across the city. The city itself was like a hilly, lived in, slightly African version of Paris. I loved it! And yesterday we had the best moule + frite + beer ever in a harbour side restaurant (opposite side to the irish bars). It wasn't as glamourous as Nice and Monaco but 10 times nicer than Eastbourne or Brighton and 100 times nicer than Liverpool or Newcastle! Please don't tell me you hung around the train station or just sat in a bar..... ! Shame on you if you did  !

It's not hard, but I think you'll have a better time if you can tag along with maybe your local supporters club or someone from on here who is in the same position. I've been to a lot of away games - including Europe - on my own, but definitely had a better time as part of a group.

I would love to do a european away trip cos the only euro away game I ever done was champs league final 2006 :(

How do you guys get tickets for these away games ? I aint a member of the travel club nor am I a member of the supporters clubs but I am a season ticket holder and would love to go to away games both in europe and in prem league

I'm an away scheme member but if you don't want to commit to every away game then the games will go to priority for season ticket holders with the most away points, just need to keep an eye out mate for availability

I got Rome on my Red Membership. Most group games go well down the pecking order.
