Haven't read this thread but am I the only one really really up for this game? Its our best shot at silverware this season and i will be fucking gutted/livid if we go out.
I would play a full strength team but i know it wont happen. Oh well. COYG

Who cares really? If we get to the final it'll be against Chelsea/Utd/City & that'll be goodnight for us. Fuck, we'll lose even if we get Aldershot in the final!
That said though, I am going & it's always nice to see us win

I fancy our chances slightly higher in a one-off game then the blind alley which will be our league campaign. The best we can hope from that is qualification to a competition we have no chance of winning. Wooo.
The domestic cups are the where the real interest lies for me this season

For once, I completely agree with LDB. This is our ONLY chance of silverware. It may open up for us again like last year. Might as well take it seriously again.
if it was away games i would support and go, its bad enough at grove as it is. I would have to be on pills, crack and drunk on whisky to go to the game on tuesday just to stomach the utter twats around me

This is going to be a very interesting game, because I expect to see a very unique Arsenal line up.
If we play our fringe players and we lose, honestly I won't really care. It's the Carling Cup. Yes it would have been nice to win last year, but it shouldn't be a priority - nor a goal - of a club with our stature. Additionally, it would only give the board and the manager something to say they "achieved", when really it would be not much more than a scapegoat.
Anyway, for the CC game, I'm hoping Ox-Chambo puts on a proper performance. We need him in the line up and I hope he makes a good case for himself as he has been doing lately. From what I've seen of him briefly, admittedly against weaker opposition, he looks far more dynamic than Walcott and has a lot less complacency in him.
I'm also hoping to see Fabianski, because I'd like to see WS rested, and I think LF can do a decent job against Bolton.
Lastly, Squillaci, if he plays it will be a great opportunity for him to really come back with a vengeance. I hope he's been working hard on the off-season and has the personal pride to salvage himself from a downright embarrassing first season at the Arsenal.
