Eboue abuse

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

From another angle you can see that John Terry threw most of the stuff.

SHOCKING...wud rather him still here better than santos djourou jenkinson or any other right back wenger wants to play....gives more than arshavin on the wing too

Seriously ? Santos is a left back. Djouru is a centre back (and I use that phrase loosely). Jenkinson is a rookie but one who will give his all for the team and not fanny about cheating and diving all over the fcuking place :x

Its a shame for the lad but, as mentioned, if you go to Turkey unfortunately you realise that this kind of thing will happen. What pisses me off is that if it happened in England it would be massive news and no doubt UEFA would look to impose serious sanctions etc, but when its in Turkey they couldnt give a fuck

Those fuckers cause trouble everywhere they go, but uefa/fifa seem to turn a blind eye. Glad they won't be going to the Euros and hope they never make it to another major finals.

Players being bombarded with missiles at throws/corners is pretty much commonplace in Turkey, particularly in derby games & I've seen incidents much worse than this where riot police have had to shield the player from seats & bottles being thrown. In fact Eboue gets a few looks there that suggest he shouldn't really be surprised & should probably just get on with it.

If he was the only player to be pelted or there were monkey chants & bananas, then fair enough its clearly a racial incident. I'm not condoning it, but its hard to draw an accurate conclusion from that vid.

Agreed I have read he was diving and rolling around so maybe that's why he was being targeted

Hmmm, I'm not condoning what happened to him, but to say we should have kept the diving, useless bastard because of his goal celebrations is just insane.. :?
I think he had his tongue firmly in-cheek mate
Yeah, I did think that but didn't see any accompanying emoticons, so you just think... well... Hmmmm... :?
sorry but i thought the Accompanying Emoticons were a punk band from the 70's, cant get used to using the wee buggers but to sum up Eboue................. :?  :?: :banghead:  :duh: :cussing: , hope i've made myself a little clearer now 8) :D

Frankly playing for galatasary makes him fair game in my opinion I hate this club more than tottenham so fuck him and fuck them, shame it wasn't a grenade or 10 .

He also showed as he frequently did at Arsenal that he has No Bottle whatsoever cowering behind others ,none of whom seemed affected by the storm and making the most of a few coins and a plastic water bottle.
Herd - you are of course making the assumption that footballers know where Turkey is on the map to start with ! Then from there you're assuming that they understand the political and cultural climate in the country, or that even more laughable that their agents know or care about it when they are negotiating the pay packet.

I would imagine it took him by complete surprise and that neither he or his advisers even gave it a minute's thought when they joined.

As you say, it is shocking and nobody can condone it but you would have thought that any professional advisor worth his salt might have let the lad know what a move to Turkey entails !

It's OK, apparently they all shook hands after the game anyway. Problem solved.

I tweeted "you've only come to bottle eboue" a few hours ago and have lost 4 followers because of it. Clearly the man is still much loved at this club. ha ha ha.

I love it how in one of the clips the bottle hits his midriff and he goes down clutching his face. Same old Eboue.

Eboue played left back on numerous times and performed better than Santos, djourou and kos have both been used at right back due to lack of cover which eboue would have provided.....and yea jenks in a rookie and probably shouldnt be our 2nd choice right back...look at every top team they 2 or 3 top players that can play at full back...and eboue was better than jenks, hence our team is worse

also someone saying he had no bottle..from going from being booed off too winning over the majority of fans and beoming the cult hero fans favourite that he was , shows bottle!
