Arsenal Artillery 1886

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Unfortunately, this forum doesn't have an excessive number of posters but if we can get the basics sorted we can spread the word beyond.

First and foremost we need a name for the campaign so I can set up Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Fire names first along with your ideas of how to improve the atmosphere. Don't give a f*ck how stupid u might think they are, post it up.

best post I have read on here so far :D

well after being in the Clock End last night seemingly surrounded by thousands of germans I reckon you want to aim for what they have

1. get everyone to bring in as many flags, scarves, hats, banners as they can
2. get an official Arsenal drummer
3. get fans to do synchronised jumping

thats a bit ambitious though so I would start with trying to get everyone into the ground in time for kick off and for everyone to stay until the final whistle. that could still take several years though...

You said 'fire ahead with more suggestions' earlier on.

What about something in that vein? Like, to do with cannon fire etc.

We are hoping to fire ahead in this campaign and the relevance to Arsenal/Cannons/Guns etc is noticeable...

Is it worth talking to the club?

How else are we going to get a whole block or two of hard core together?

you mean bouncing? yeah like the toffs and day-tripper would do that

best idea to form a group, start a twitter page, make a banner, get a group of lads in the Clock End lower, and a drummer.

easy 8)

Me too. I've been sitting on it for something Arsenal related for a while. Think it sounds cool! 8)

We will be.

For now, we need a name, people on board to organise the campaign together and the backing of goonered and co, who won't be too bothered because they are about to get a boat load of traffic to the site! :barscarf:

If we could somehow get our away support all into one block we should be laughing.

I think making the red action section bigger would be a good start.

Maybe that whole lower tier behind the goal, when i'm at home games I want to be in there with them but it seems to be season ticket holders or just sold out very quickly.

I aim to get my seat as close as possible to that section, my mate (villa fan) came to a game with me and said 'looks lively in there' and he's right.

I'm up for anything to improve things, unless i've lost my voice at a game i feel let down.

Having done something similar recently, I'd making myself available to co-ordinate the campaign under the helpful eyes and minds of several other forum members.

Dan_85, LyusN1 & SWLgooner have put themselves forward, if there's anyone else, let us know.

The Artillery sounds good but a choice would be great

I'm up for getting involved.

Anonymously though... Not that I haven't got the stones, just that I guess you could say I'm a bit er divisive after the banner thing.

The biggest problem I see is how the fuck do we get all of us like minded people together in the same spot in the ground?!

Something along these lines would be a good, realistic, achievable first target I think; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhZqsT9ihiU

The club will just be paying lip service to all this, they will put every obstacle they can think of prevent fans from attempting to change the current situation. It goes against their whole marketing of "the emirates experience" & selling the product to Tarquin & the affluent classes & Far East tourists!

As for the clubs bitches AISA & Red Action this exact issue was supposed to be sorted out by them many moons ago

Facts are that the club listen more to one very rotound individual with prominent headgear than any fans groups

Anyway good luck, I hope you succeed :barscarf:

However you are not dealing with the FAI who have many faults themselves but at least will listen, compared to Arsenals board & commercial management department :banghead:
