PDFC - PHIL DOWD FAT *word censored*

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Complete tosh. I was there as I always am and we bottled it.

1-3 up and we let them over-run us to the point that we were lucky to get out with a point. Another bottle-job performance.

I thought a lot of the goals in that game came against the run of play
(haven't rewatched it admittedly, think I went off on a bit of a bender)

We have bottled a lot of games spurs 4-4 for example, and I hate to talk of a ref when we drop points.

This however is a blantent example of a ref turning a game, what he done imo was award a dodgy pen then a joke of a pen, he then let only one team make tackles, even the free kick that led to thier equalizer I seem to remember was a blantent dive.

The ref booked our keeper for not giving the ball to the opposotion even though it was our set play (kick off).

To say we bottled it does not tell the full story, we got royally fucked by the ref, but was all made so much easier for the ref to do because of that brainless shove by Diaby.

We have drawn with Spurs 4-4. We were 4-2 up on the verge of injury time. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Wasnt this game just after the home game with everton where cesc is supposed to have said how much did you pay the ref in the tunnel to the everton players and i said at the time that supposed comment would come to haunt us and i think dowd proved me right 2 of the softest penalties you will ever see in your life.

Dowd you are fat prick

Dowd is of a breed of referee which I absolutely despise. He tries to be centre of attention at all times which is a disgrace. A referee if they do a good job should not even be noticed on the football pitch.

I thought the referee in the Arsenal game yesterday was also fucking terrible but then I expect nothing less of Martin Atkinson who is of the same breed as Dowd.

On the other hand, Lee Probert reffed the Liverpool v Newcastle game on Friday night and I thought he did an excellent job, the game flowed, he played advantages wherever possible and if they didn't materialise, he brought the play back. Made no fuss, issued hardly any bookings unless they were for very late tackles or lunges and defused any potentially tricky situations.
