The fact of all of the above is simple.
The "CLUB" simply do not give a fuck. We, as fans are commodities. Replaceable. For every one of us, there are 10 *word censored* in the orient willing to swallow whatever & spend their disposable 'following' Arsenal.
That's it, end of.
If anybody thinks that the club care about 'individual fans', they are more deluded than Wenger

With all due respect Brazilian Gooner, the fact that they are more concerned with appeasing supporters club on the other side of the world rather than week in week out fans is no surprise.
They get all your membership fees, sell loads of merchandise to you & can count on you all having the 'Emirates experience' once or twice a season to top up the coffers.
Not meant to discredit you, or supporters clubs (I get all my tickets from one) but that's my opinion.
Arsenal does not working class, single blokes watching them. Just *word censored*.

i understand mate, and will take your word on that the club is giving less attention to the supporter than they should, but i do think - like g88ner pointed out on the first page - that what The Arsenal does for charity for example is formidable.SouthCoastArsenal wrote:With all due respect Brazilian Gooner, the fact that they are more concerned with appeasing supporters club on the other side of the world rather than week in week out fans is no surprise.

i don't go to the stadium frequently though so i'll take you guys' word on if the attention given to supporters is poor or not.
it just seems to me that we still are a class club, at least compared to others.

Comparing to who bG? If you look at it most (if not all) clubs do loads of work for charity as g88ner rightly said but the test of class is not what you have to be seen to do for charity, the local community or supporter clubs its what you do anonamously and without a fanfare for single supporters like signing this flag for the family of someone who gave loads for his love of ArsenalbrazilianGOONER wrote:i understand mate, and will take your word on that the club is giving less attention to the supporter than they should, but i do think - like g88ner pointed out on the first page - that what The Arsenal does for charity for example is formidable.SouthCoastArsenal wrote:With all due respect Brazilian Gooner, the fact that they are more concerned with appeasing supporters club on the other side of the world rather than week in week out fans is no surprise.

£3m may seem a lot but lets put it in prospective its what Diaby pockets in wages every year. And the gate reciepts for ONE home gameg88ner wrote:What, you mean apart from the £millions they've raised over the years for charity?Dan_85 wrote:You weren't giving them any money so it doesn't surprise me they weren't interested. Not a shred of class about The Arsenal these days...
Kingjayson's story is indeed sad, but the club must get countless of requests and they can't possibly please everyone. Maybe this was just one of those cases?
And when they do so so much good work, I think it's wrong to ignore it and only highlight the negative.
A bit of balance, perhaps...
In 2003, Arsenal Football Club strengthened its charitable giving by channeling its fundraising and awareness raising efforts into one nominated charity each season, known as the ‘Be a Gooner. Be a Giver.’ campaign.
Over the course of seven years, the Club partnered with charities including ChildLine, the David Rocastle Trust, the Willow Foundation, TreeHouse, Teenage Cancer Trust, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and Centrepoint, raising nearly £3million in the process.
I think it would be safe to say that the majority of this cash was donated by supporters, not the club.g88ner wrote:What, you mean apart from the £millions they've raised over the years for charity?Dan_85 wrote:You weren't giving them any money so it doesn't surprise me they weren't interested. but maybe that's because our members stalked them in their hotel like little 12 year old girls running after justin bieber

(to make it very clear, i wasn't there this time - i would've asked mr wenger why doesn't he spend some fucking money, but it's exactly because i'm pissed off with the club lately and cannot commit to a proper behavior that i left the supporters' club board)

g88ner, 3million is very nice, sure, but Arsenal make sure they get a fair bit of PR out of that. however if Arsenal dont get anything out of it to make their corporation look good, even if it is all for charity and local hardcore fans, then theyre not interested. That's why Arsenal PLC lacks class in this regard.
BG, with all due respect it's a bit unfair that local fans dont get the same treatment as fans from Brazil, who support Arsenal thanks to a bit of glory and certain famous Brazilian Gunners. That's something you wont ever understand being a brazilian gooner.

of course i get it, not only get it but agree totally, only reason why i said i think arsenal are a class club in my opinion is because they treat ME and the supporters close to me wonderfully well - i cannot judge them based on what they do to other people as i don't see that, i live too many miles away.
that AND i do take what i read in this forum with a pinch of salt, as we have some seriously angry people in here

but i did tell southcoastarsenal that i get his points, fair play. if you fellas tell me they are *word censored* with the supporter that's been going to the ground for years, fair play, i believe you. i don't pretend to know as much about arsenal as guys like olgit, who has been going to arsenal games for over 8 decades (
