Feyenoord-Ajax

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

It might not be well known here but Feyenoord-Ajax is probably the biggest rivalry in dutch football (both on & off the pitch), so it's not a "just" a win over Ajax  If I remember correctly away supporters are banned from these derbies as there was too much violence.

Correct.

Dan_85, you must be joking about Ron Vlaar. He doesn't have and will never ever have enough quality to play for Arsenal. And he thinks he's more important for Feyenoord than he really is, although he's their captain. Last summer he was the one who made Mario Been walk away because most of the team were not happy with Been anymore.

Ron Vlaar is just like Jan Vertonghen (Ajax): big mouth, arrogant and not good enough to play for a top side.

great post Dan

surprised ultras-tifo didn't post this today

Feyenoord are right up there in terms of support and atmosphere, love the little corner of de kuip, along the sideline where all the fans stand and wave about tifos for the entire game. Brilliant side to follow if you enjoy your football.

Feyenoord v AFC Ajax rivalry is HUGE!!

Check out this video. This was Feyenoord's last training session before their clash with Ajax http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPWLpXEt ... r_embedded
