Dortmund's Keown moment

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Tomas, congrats on the big win of the "German classico" !
Thanks mate!
Great week of football, 11-4-2012 trashed Munic and then 14-4-2012 won the Derby.
Now 8 points clear ahead of Bayern, the team need only two points out of three games (if Bayern wins it all which I don't think after they being trashed on Tuesday by Real :-P )

Cheers,
Thomas

Jurgen Klopp is a fucking excellent manager. Has worked wonders on a tight budget, is a great tactician, knows how to build a defence, is an incredible motivator.

Tomas, we didn't get Goetze (yet  ) but can we have your manager?!

The more I read about klopp the more I like him as a manager - it seem's that hard work and energy are hallmarks of his team play and after a few seasons of watching walnut, song, diaby etc stroll around without a care in the world, that kind of management very much appeals to me 8)

I know that the chav system of employing managers hasnt exactly been a roaring success but in many ways I admire it - they see a manager they want, they go out and they get him and it hasnt always worked out for them but I like the ruthless mindset. Granted they have the money to go that route but I grew up in an era where the manager was the most important person in the club but that rarely is the way anymore as multi millionaire players often rule the roost (see chavs again for an example) and I know wenger has that power (and more with it  ) but we can be damn sure the next guy wont have it. How can you put a price on a good manager ? I know it wont happen but if klopp or whoever is viewed as being a top manager then we should actively make a real strong approach to get him but being Arsenal we wont want to thread on the toe's of any other clubs so will probably aim to get a manager from the 2nd or 3rd tier of managers (maybe french-african  ) cos he will be cheap

You are right, Klopp is a good manager, but I have to add 2 points:
(1) Klopp has no international experience and the way Dortmund performed in this years CL was embarrassing.
(2) Motivation of the players is the major key of his success. But the way Klopp motivates the players needs profound language skills. I doubt he could do it english or spanish, so I assume he´ll stay in Germany (and succeed Heynckes at Bayern maybe).

All in all I do not consider him as an option to succeed Wenger.
