I think they should have a huge banquet and eat the horses that get killed. I've had horse steak years ago on a trip to the czech republic and it aint bad. Tastes a bit like chicken

Sad news today of the death of Great Endeavour. Was found with a broken leg after spending the night in a field. Shocked? Well you shouldn't be, this shit happens all the time when the TV cameras aren't around but I guess there will be no bleeding hearts wanting the banning of putting horses in felds.

Dont get me wrong i bet on the national, eat meat and dont have pets and dont have many feelings for animals (even though i wouldnt hurt one myself) but putting a horse in a field and it breaks its leg in an unlucky accident is different than forcing forty horses to jump forty 7 foot fences to entertain human beings..... Just an observation :?

Flash, with regards to the word "forcing", Synchronised fell but the horse ran on and jumped a number of fences riderless before falling a second time and suffering the injury that led to his death. No disresrect but that reminds me of one of the comments left on the Daily Mail website ( I know) after they ran some sensational story about the Grand National, some idiot claimed that Synchronised tried to "get away" after throwing AP off

One of the very first times I sat on a horse it took off down a country lane with me hanging on for dear life. At the end of that lane was a gate, you know what happened? The horse jumped it perfectly but I went out the side door as ungracefully as you could imagine  Horses jump things and they enjoy doing it.
