Away fans away from the pitch?

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

before WW2 few supporters made away trips as they do now. You supported the team where you lived and used to go every other Saturday. That is actually proper football tradition - not going to every game every week.
More pearls of wisdom

A tradition of the game doesn't mean that it had to start before WW2. Or you are advocating pre-WW2 football tradition?

I think it's clear that people enjoy the fact that away fans add to the atmosphere - and in terms of the emirates, any little bit helps.

The trouble with moving away fans to a more expensive location within the Grove is that other clubs may reciprocate, and move their away sections to charge us more money. Leave the away section where it is.

I know Chelski and their London based counterparts take the piss ticket price wise, but at least you don't have to shell out a small fortune on train fare/petrol as well.
