Re: GERVINHO
I imagine he will start on Saturday as Bebeyoun cannot play against his parent club...His developement at Arsenal has been amazing. Started badly and got worse, he is so predictable. What is this switching wings business during games?. We done that in junior football in the distant past. When we done it the opposition manager would shout at his fullback "you have him beaten, he is running away from you" He has been a failure and he isn't going to have a great seconnd season because he isn't good enough . We wouldn't touch Moses when Palace were selling and we won't touch Saha(?) when Palace are selling this Summer.

No composure, awful finishing and terrible final touch. Good at running with the ball and runs around a lot trying as hard as he can. He never got better in the French league and his final ball NEVER improved.
He just had a situation where if you fuck up 12 times in a game in the end he will get a goal or an assist. Sadly the prem doesn’t give you 12 chances to get something right.
He was a budget buy and he will stay on the bench and be our BIG IMPACT player for the next few years.
We need to sell this fool, along with Cham and Park
Hardly what I'd call a bargain. I think everyone forgets just how much money that is still. Demba Ba or Papiss Cisse are what I would call bargains. £10m for Mikel Arteta is a bargain.
I'd have felt that I'd have got better value for money buying 11.5m scratchcards than handing that kind of money over for the useless waster we've been landed with
compared to hazard who was his strike partner he was budget . But yeh i agree

Its so fans on the opposite side of the pitch get a chance to see how shit Walcott and Gervinho are close up.Bradywasking wrote: What is this switching wings business during games?.

a superb postSteveO 35 wrote:Utterly utterly hopeless. In a list of useless things, I think the running order is
1. Gervinho
2. A handbrake on a canoe
3. A glass-eye at a keyhole
4. An ashtray on a motorbike
5. A chocolate fireguard
The difference is only one of the above cost €10m - something that our esteemed manager was basking in at the start of the season, as if it was some form of bargain
I have experienced greater bargains in a Little Chef

Re: GERVINHO
maybe we could do a deal with Bordeaux that if they are willing to take the camel back we can thrown Gervinho in for free as well ?

Re: GERVINHO
To me is an even worse version of Kalou, as we all know Wenger has been chasing him for years now, what scares me most is that we could have both on our books next year!!
Surely the Ox has to start and come on from the bench ahead of this bloke now

Re: GERVINHO
On the basis of last night's performance, it's probably unfair to single out Gervinho.... however his main problem at the moment seems to be a complete lack of finishing ability.
I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt a while longer, but my patience will wear thin.

Alas it's more than that. It's the complete lack of intelligence of what to do with the ball; how to beat his man; how to cross it and even how to pass the ball to one of his own team mates.Simon wrote:On the basis of last night's performance, it's probably unfair to single out Gervinho.... however his main problem at the moment seems to be a complete lack of finishing ability.

So effectively they'll be getting 4 lumps instead of 2!!Red Member wrote:maybe we could do a deal with Bordeaux that if they are willing to take the camel back we can thrown Gervinho in for free as well ?

Re: GERVINHO
As I see it Gervinho's role in the team is to take players on and beat his man. I haven't actually seen him do much of that since he's been at the club.

Your stubborn old idol is loving every minute of putting us mere mortal fans in our places for booing his substitution earlier in the season
Still 'real fans have patience' eh ?
