Silly banner thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

You can pick pretty much any of those horrific Chelsea-style corporate approved banners hung from the upper tier this season....
I'd still prefer to see the 'Real Fans Have Patience' one.....

I remember going to the Chavs away game for the first time and seeing all those shitty banners. I thought it was just a corporate way to keep the fans happy and cover up the gaps.

Then this season we go and do the same thing :banghead: :banghead:

If they want banners, let individuals or groups of mates get together and get one made up. Not have them all in the same style/size/font etc. It's shit and it's a joke. :banghead:

Truly the most cringeworthy moment of the season and possibly in the history of supporting the club.
Totally agree especially as this was before the biggest defeat in 115 years
After, Darren, it was after. That's the sad thing
At lease they got their banner out

That's their way at getting back at Cesc for leaving... Not giving him a diacritical mark
And why have they used two apostrophes in "Years?".

I think the more important point is "who knew Fabregas 4 years ago" - what back in 2007 when he was already a regular in our midfield and had helped to guide us to the CL final five fucking years before the 8-2 debacle ??!!

And of course we should take full credit for his development having unearthed him from Hackney Marshes rather than simply exploiting employment law loopholes in Spain i.e. being able to offer him professional terms at 16 when they couldn't.

At least the by-product of a few seasons of Thursday night football and cheering a 7th place finish will rid the club of all these fucking uninformed JCLs, and we can start all over again.

I am starting to think that I am becoming the most miserable poster now :(

Yea and three exclamation marks!!! The line "In Arsene we trust" doesn't need an exclamation mark.
And no question mark at the end.
Shocking grammar. How did that get past the banner police?

That's the sort of sloppy attitude you see the sort from people who don't even bother to iron their jeans for football day.

Is it sexist to say it doesn't surprise me that it's two birds holding that banner? #tryingtoohardtofitin

Yes. But women have no business at football anyway. Fcukintarts.com :barscarf:
What if they let you go Milan away?

Thought it might be useful to split this away from the touts thread.

That is the most cringeworthy banner ever. I've seen those two at a couple of games. They were at the pre-season friendly in Barnet a couple of years back and at Stamford Bridge for the 2-0 defeat last season. They seemed more interested in screaming at Drogba than watching the game.

Who knew Fabregas and Nasri four years ago? Well as has been said, Fabregas was in our first team at that time and Nasri was one of the best young players in Europe  :banghead:

so embarrasing, that even Dec from Ant & Dec, sitting next to the one in the red arsenal shirt, had to look away in disgust :-P
