Sunday Matches

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Blackburn have been a fucking disgrace in that first half. If that is a team supposedly fighting to stay up then, well fuck my old boots. Are they capable of stringing three passes together. Truly awful and they deserve to go down if this is their best shot at surviving

They're better than QPR. Not saying much. I can see Blackburn nicking a goal from a free kick. Having said that expecting 4 or 5-0. :( :(

QPR are at least showing some guts at home and have got themselves up just out of the zone. These fuckers are virtually down if they get beaten today and they are strolling around like a casual walk in the countryside on a Sunday afternoon. Honestly, if I was Yakubu's manager I would kick the lazy fucker up the arse at half time......although given the size of it, I'd fear I'd lose my boot. He is making Arshavin look industrious

With your comment above in mind, please explain the following... (and please be consistent)

Arsenal 7-1 Blackburn (Feb 4th 2012)
Man Utd 2-3 Blackburn (Dec 31st 2011)

Difficult, isn't it? but as they say, that's football!

I know you're just using it as a stick to beat Arsenal with, but surely you can recognise that comparing results isn't an exact science, as my Blackburn example illustrates.

As for QPR... surely you can also acknowledge the difference between playing a team home or away..?

I'd say the difference between playing QPR home and away is clear...

QPR have lost 6 in a row away from home in the league, yet at home they've beaten Sp*rs, Swansea, Arsenal and Liverool on the trot.

Just shows why they call it home advantage.

Anyway, all teams have their good days and their off days. To read too much into that would be silly.

For real comparisons, lets see where these teams are at the end of the season, because whereas people can twist things and be overly negative or positive, at the end of the day...the league table doesn't lie.

Just wondering if the scum are going to do an Arsenal and totally dominate a game only to lose a goal from a set piece in the last few minutes. Let's hope.

He's got to go after that. The most pitiful, abject 90 minutes I've ever seen. If he can't produce a single shot at goal in a game they had to go for, then he deserves to go. As dull, one-sided uneventful PL match I can recall

I hope Wigan thrash them in the week. Waste of a place in the Prem.

Exactly and as Norwich and Swansea have proved, a positive attitude and decent coaching goes a long way. No amount of excuses can ever mitigate 90 minutes of PL football without a single shot at goal.

Fuck off Blackburn and fuck off Kean - that was a total waste of everybody's time today. The few diehards from Blackburn that did make it should have their ticket costs refunded by the Venkys

Going back to the Chelsea result: it's amazing how they can play 5 games in 14 days including a FA Cup Semi, 2 Champion's League Semi's against the 'best team in the world' plus 2 London Derbies and still get results in all of them, yet our manager compalins about 'tiredness' and 'hand-brakes' when we've played a couple of games in 8 or 9 days!! :banghead: :banghead:

Or indeed Champion's League football, even if on the end of a bad refereeing decision!! :banghead: :banghead:
