Aye 3rd year in a row rejected. My running club has 4 places up for grabs in the christmas do, so fingers crossed.
Im doing the Liverpool marathon in 2 weeks and am brickking it at the moment. I might run with an expensive watch on and i-pod so I get a few scousers chasing me.That'll keep me going.

You have to raise a minimum of £1,500 to get a charity place i dont think i could do itOneBardGooner wrote:There is a 100% Guaranteed way to get a place in the London marathon....simply contact Childline and tell them you want to run in the marathon, you've been doing all the training and entered your name in the lottery to run, but didn't get in and they will give you one of their places...as long as all the money raised goes to Childline!

I ran the dublin marathon - nice weekend away, good atmosphere and good place party after. A lot easier than trying to get in the London marathon.flash gunner wrote:You have to raise a minimum of £1,500 to get a charity place i dont think i could do itOneBardGooner wrote:There is a 100% Guaranteed way to get a place in the London marathon....simply contact Childline and tell them you want to run in the marathon, you've been doing all the training and entered your name in the lottery to run, but didn't get in and they will give you one of their places...as long as all the money raised goes to Childline!

Generally always a minimum of £1000 for the London Marathon. For my Liverpool marathon ive been fundraising with a mate for a month now and ive tapped up everyone I know and weve still only raised £350. To raise a grand you're getting into the realms of cake sales at work, charity auctions and BJ's for cash money.OneBardGooner wrote:I think different Charities have different amounts/levels...still worth asking though!?...
Bet you couldn't do it without picking up an injury.DB10GOONER wrote:It's a bit of running though, right? I mean, what next? They'll be giving out medals for it? FFS.![]()

I'd imagine you shattering into a thousand pieces just like the T-1000 in Terminator 2 when he got frozen.
