Realistic Transfer Targets

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

For the record, I meant "realistic" more so in terms of affordability than likelihood :(

It disgusts me how we probably could have got guys like Hazard, Goetze, Mata, etc, if we had just put our hand a little deeper in our pocket a year or two ago. Now they're worth 3x as much and will all likely go to superspending clubs (as Mata did).

With Malaga and PSG also now cash-strapped, it just means even more inflation in the world markets, particularly in Spain and France where bargains used to be a little more likely.

Over here, cash-strapped means very poor, mate.

I can see Arsenal trying to keep Yossi Benayoun.

Vertonghen, a new midfield playmaker and some unknown. Midfield playmaker could well be a houeshold name. Joel Campbell will be a squad player, as will Ryo. Frimpong will be in the squad. Wilshere back. Ox will get more games.

SOLD

Arshavin
Denilson
Bendy
Vela
Alumina (out of contract)
Lansbury
Squillaci
