Liverpool will refuse to play on July 4th after this. (not that they would ever have to)....Kenny will explain that it is more difficult to hit the post 30plus times than it is to score. Then he will blame Evra for refusing to accept Suarez right to abuse him , then he will blame the referees, the police, the Sun , the media in general and then the bad luck...The owners will be asleep at this stage so he will sneak out and return home in triumph.SteveO 35 wrote:If he gets the sack then its the fault of the Yorkshire/Turkish/Belgian police force, the Sun newspaper, Brian Clough and they'll probably now boycott all travel to the US

Re: Dalglish sacked???
If we could turn back time I don't think there would have been half as many posts praising Liverpool last summer. For all the talk of how Dalglish did his business early and got who he wanted etc etc it's now funny to see at the end of the season the stories about the "king" being sacked.
Re: Dalglish sacked???
Dalglish should get sacked because like Wenger his is living in the past.Football has moved on
Re: Dalglish sacked???
I wouldn't say that......if their League form carries on like this they'll be playing in the Europa League 1st qualifying round via the Fair Play route soonBradywasking wrote:Liverpool will refuse to play on July 4th after this. Missed most penaltiesRed Member wrote:I somehow dont think Dalglish will get sacked - Liverpool won the Carling Cup this season!
Hit the woodwork most times
Blinkered defence of racism
Spanked in FA Cup final
Won Worthlesstinpot
Finished 8th
Stewart Downing
Jordan Henderson
Andy Carroll
That's pretty poor form.

Probably shite on an otherwise slow news day though.

Come on you thieving deluded scouse bastards, threaten your owners into keeping him.

Re: Dalglish sacked???
I don't think he's that bad of a manager. Carroll and Suarez did him absolutely no favors, the former by being awful and the latter by being a thickheaded racist twat. Henderson and Downing are two of the most inconsistent players ever. Their best midfielder (Lucas) was out for the entire season, which is going to hurt any team. And they gave a good account of themselves in the FA Cup despite losing.
Did people really expect his team to be challenging for the top four? I think Liverpool fans just need a reality check. I realize 8th is pretty low, but Newcastle and Sp*rs had ridiculously good seasons by their standards, and Everton came out of nowhere late-on. Two Cup finals isn't a bad haul either as your first year in charge.
Carroll is showing signs of improvement, and Henderson and Downing are still young players. Lucas will be back next year. They just need some investment in some key areas (striker, midfielder) and they'd be a decent side.
This whole era of "sack your manager whenever you do worse than expected" gets a little zany sometimes. You don't have to stick with someone for 15 years if he starts to lose after a while *cough* but at the same time, give the manager a chance to put his spin on the team.
OR, just hire an O'Neil or Redknapp, enjoy one or two exceptional seasons, and then be near relegation a few seasons afterwards. See: Southampton, Portsmouth, Villa.

Re: Dalglish sacked???
Barri,
Dalglish bought the 'twats who did him no favours', at ridiculous prices and played a system that didn't seem to suit any of them.
The 23million youngster Downing will be 28 this July and in the League managed a grand total of zero goals and zero assists (there were some on this forum who wanted us to buy him!).
For these reasons and many others I am with you in wanting him to stay where he is.
