I went over there for st paddies weekend and booked tickets to the bulls in advance. Just ordered online and had them for collection on night (they call it 'will call').

It was good to do once but a bit boring compared to football.

Baseball though is a cracking day out, akin to cricket. Hot summer's day, lazing around, eating drinking and having a good time, totally relaxed, and a great sport.

A summers day spent watching cricket is one of the best things in life, beer all day, the occasional cheer and plenty of hot looking promo girls for distraction.

Hi All ,this is actually my first post here, I’m a long time subscriber to the Gooner fanzine but I’ve just now registered online, wasn’t really sure what to put for my first post but when I saw the thread about Chicago I decided to get involved. I was there a few years ago for a few days and it’s a great city to visit.
As previously stated, both the Sears and Hancock Towers are worth a visit even though the views are pretty much the same, one of them (but I can’t remember which unfortunately) has a bar at the top which is great for having a drink and enjoying the views over both the city and along the lake side.
If you like music, and especially blues music then you’re in for a treat as there are some great places to visit, for example:
• 2120 South Michigan Avenue – home of the legendary Chess Records Studio where all the greats recorded, the Rolling Stones recorded their “12 x 5” album (which features an instrumental track named after the studio address) there in the 60s, the tour there is very interesting and well worth doing but it’s not open every day so check first when it’s open before travelling down, it’s a very long avenue so you may want to get a taxi there.
• Buddy Guy’s Blues Bar and Restaurant – they have live blues music there every night of the week, a good place to go.
• The Green Mill Bar – out in the suburbs if I remember correctly so you’ll definitely need a taxi there and back. Legend has it that Al Capone used to frequent here regularly back in the say, the place looks as if it hasn’t changed much actually over the years, when I was there they had some great jazz and blues bands playing, definitely worth a visit.
Overall a great city to visit! I remember when I was there I spent a Sunday afternoon in an Irish bar getting updates on Arsenal’s game that day up at Old Trafford, we missed a first half penalty, Gilberto if I remember correctly but then Adebayor scored a late goal for us as we won 1-0! I raised a glass to Adebayor that day, how times change eh?!
Anyway, have a great time there!

I recommend Browns Chicken in the leafy suburb of Palentine.

I recommend looking out for a geezer in a duffel coat, trying to keep his head down (other than sneaking into hospitals and saving kids lives)

He's supposed to be dangerous but he's not because he's innocent....or is he?

Of course!
It´s some kind of a business trip though. A big conference from Sunday till Friday. I hope I can clear out many times...
