As it will probably be the last opportunity to get answers

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The news of General Motors (Vauxhall in the uk) partnership with Manure should be finalised in the next week or so. I would ask how much we receive from Citreon for our partnership in comparison. And I bet that Rooney and co. won't be prancing round like fools like our players did. :rubchin:

Manchester United, GM to announce sponsorship deal
The Detroit News
By Melissa Burden and David Shepardson
May 30, 2012
UK / USA --- Move over baseball: General Motors Co.'s largest brand is joining forces with the world's best-known soccer team.
The Detroit automaker is expected to announce Thursday a major marketing initiative and sponsorship deal with Manchester United, the world's most popular soccer team, two people briefed on the plans said.
Global Chief Marketing Officer Joel Ewanick on Thursday will reveal details of a Chevrolet global sports marketing initiative. It's a high-profile move that comes as GM said it was halting paid advertising on Facebook and would not advertise in the 2013 Super Bowl after running five ads in this year's game.
The sponsorship deal could help Chevrolet — GM's largest brand, which sold 4.76 million vehicles globally last year — reach new customers around the world as it works to increase sales in emerging markets and across Europe.
Forbes recently ranked Manchester as soccer's most valuable club.
A survey from market researcher Kantar this month found Manchester United is the world's most popular club with 659 million followers worldwide.
Kantar found that soccer — known almost everywhere outside North America as football — remains the world's most popular sport, with 1.6 billion followers.
Manchester United's games are broadcast to 1.15 billion households globally — and reach a total audience of more than 4 billion people a year. Manchester United has an estimated 34 million followers in the U.S.
It's unclear how much the sponsorship will cost GM.

Why are players being allowed to enter the final years of their contract?

This has been asked time and time again with no reply.

On the invite I received, any questions had to be pre-submitted as of last Friday which means that it will be the usual scripted and rehearsed drivel that Gazidi's has produced during all of this seasons supporters forum meetings. I am debating whether to go as I often get more and more agitated by the constant politicians answers as the evening goes on!

Ask them why an inquiry hasnt been made as to why we suffer so many injuries, to the physio team.

Why hasnt Stan said anything in like a year? Is Arsenal a lesser priority than his foreign investments

Why did we leave it to the last day to sign for all our players? Why is that seen as proffessional? We lost 8 points from that easily

And of course why do we not invest?????

I know its only one of the rags (daily star) but the media seem to be paying attention, albeit for all the wrong reasons sensationalism etc and I'm sure they're hoping someone twats gazidis etc,we all know that would achieve nothing.

But this really is a chance to make them (AW, Gadzidis and the board of *word censored*) - if they were ever left in any doubt Exactly what we feel and think....

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/vie ... ners-fans/

ARSENAL chief executive Ivan Gazidis faces a fans’ grilling as to why Arsene Wenger won’t splash the cash this summer.

And supporters are demanding answers on why the Gunners won’t break the bank to keep Robin van Persie and why billionaire Alisher Usmanov has not been given a place on the board at Arsenal.

Gazidis has agreed to meet 300 Arsenal Supporters’ Trust members at The Emirates on Wednesday and is in for a rough ride.

A trust spokesman said: “Arsene Wenger stated that he does not intend to do much business and many members feel the team needs further strengthening.”

Fans feel Usmanov, who owns just under 30 per cent of the club, should be granted a seat on the board.

But so far owner Stan Kroenke has refused to allow a representative of Usmanov’s Red and White Holdings firm to be at board meetings

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I realise that those present asking the questions have to tread carefully - in the don't punch the fecker in the head type tread carefully, but they need to Get Some Answers.

Enough of the hiding behind the closed dorrs shyte, we pay their wages we are entitled to Know. I sincerely hope those present will be asking about the current non-activity in the transfer market AND why is Wenker not getting rid of all the dead wood (diaby, vela, squilacci, flappy, djourou, bendy bollocks, denilson) HOW on earth did they manage to accumulate so much dross, dross that we are paying through every orifice for...to the point where the club is bleeding money from said orifice' WHICH is also preventing us from paying more money to those players we want and NEED to keep AND bring in quality players, not cheapo bargains that Lidl or Asda wouldn't touch with a barge pole!

ALSO what happened to the Juan Mata deal last season? - Who's fault was it that the deal did not go through....just like the Alonso deal didn't in the 2004 season!? Why were the transfers left so late last season - Yes, we all know but we need to get them to admit they fucked up...someone needs to be Accountable - and then SACKED....yes, again I know it won't happen, but the level of frustration we all feel and live with these past Eight Seasons will only get worse unless something Changes.

They're selling all our best players replacing them with inferior players - and the 'Profit' from the sales is going where!?

Why hasn't kreonke put his hands in his considerable pockets and brought in players that will help take us back to the top and bring trophies?

Why won't they allow usmanov on the board? _ Yes, I know he has all kinds of allegations aimed at him, and I'm sure some (if possible) might be proven, but we are either competing with the other 'foreign owned' clubs or we are NOT!

Like many of you I just feel so angry about this - I'm not too good at all the financial intricacies, but it's plain to see that we have now become a selling club for those who mean business (ie: are intent on winning trophies and being Successful)

Even on the minor(ish) issues why are they not consulting us (The Fans) on choice of kit/s - we have every right to expect a say in these matters, after all it us who buy them.

I just hope that all the questions are delivered in such a way - with precision, intent and absolute clarity so that the *word censored* cannot squirm their way out with double gobbledigook talk and all their usual blah blah blah 'ing

Why do they not employ someone with experience (Dein?) to deal with all the transfer business ?

Too many questions so little time

Too much anger not enough opportunities to vent it

Can someone not take The Banner!?  :box:

To get the right answers mate, you need someone with passion asking the right questions and I am not expecting that situation to arise :( I find it really frustrating that these people seem so detached from it all that they don't seem to get angry about the way our club is being run at all :x Personally I would rather go to one of these meetings, say what needs to be said and get thrown out and even lose my season ticket IF I thought it would make a difference and let the c**ts running our club really know how we feel cos for me the clubs interests shout always come first and employing a minimum investment policy and selling your best players each season is not serving the club properly imo

I always had these meetings down as a sad PR stunt by the club. Does Stan with his billions really give a shit about the fans... of course not. They are merely throwing us a bone with the meeting to make the fans feel valued by the club. Utter bollocks and a waste of an evening for all concerned.

u are never going to get the answers you need, when the questions that need to be asked have to be submitted to the club b4 the meeting happens, so then they can censor the questions they dont like and just pick the ones that they can use PR bullshit on.An absoulute waste of time

IHH-are you goingto the meeting on Wednesday? Maybe you should get a Gazides bingo card going,of the answer he will give to the anticipated questions.

Yes I know mate, anyone with an iota of noggin knows this is a PR stunt and nothing else - meant to appease any sheeple even contemplating waking up to the truth - but like you say it'd be worth getting thrown out - maybe even a group of Gooners being 'Escorted' from the place - would make good press....the way they choreograph these things, is an art in itself of publicly sweeping all the lies and shyte under the carpet, while pretending to listen and care - it simply keeps a lid on the whole thing and keeps the sheeple in their happy, smiley, hazey In wenger we trust wonderland completely comatose....Big Jobs and a Load of Fucking Bollocks!!!

Anger doesn't even come close. :banghead:

But I would expect nothing less from the club so it is the ast that makes me angry - what exactly does these people see their role as ? What do they hope/expect to get out of these meetings ? The club going through a charade is understandable but tippy tapping with nice soft questions serves no purpose for the ast or us "regular" fans

Do we think anyone will stand up & question the bollocks that spews forth in an endless torrent from Gazidis's mouth at this event? Or will everybody sit there and grumble under their breath but do nothing to hold them to account?

This always winds me up at these events & the AGMs, I wish some people would stand up and put them on the spot when they unleash the PR bullshit speak. Granted you'd probably be removed by security but so long as you're not rude or offensive I don't see that they could take any further action. Not to mention the press interest it would create, therefore putting further pressure on the board; "Angry fans demand answers..." etc etc
