Aliardere was a pretty rubbish finisher to be fair, and he has faded in obscurity since leaving us.
His record at Boro was 11 goals in 78 apps, and at Lorient he has managed 2 in 18 (according to Wikipedia)
In fact I can't think of a striker recently that was poorer (ok, maybe Chamakh)

Re: Worst Arsenal XI
No Senderos way way way worse than Djorou. Aliadiere was horrendous. He was always either injured or couldnt score to save his life. I think he only scored 1 goal in the 5-1 win. He got so many chances.goonersid wrote:I take it we are only talking of the Wenegr era, even then to include these 3 players is ridiculous. They may not have been superstars, but in the case of Alliadiere and Senderos we currently have worse at the club, in the form of Djorou, Chamakh and Vela, as for Van Bronkhorst, I take that you've never seen Luis Boa Morte playspendsum4uckingmoney wrote:Bored.

Re: Worst Arsenal XI
Thought Morrow was ok, best of the mediocre Graham midfielders.
Could tackle and was a good marker, plus he scored in that League Cup Final.
Always feel sorry for Selley.
Good passer and strong tackler when he broke into the team, then injures ruined him.

I'm going to defend Chamakh. Atleast he scored a few goals. Infact it was only when RVP came back from injury that he lost his confidence.
