Re: Injury News anyone ?
No surprise about Bac, but hadn't realised Rosicky was so far off, thought he was touch and go for Czech Republic's final game at the Euro's. No return date for Jack is an encouraging prospect..
on Bacary Sagna (broken fibula)...
“He is doing very well. There are no problems there. But it will be the end of August for him.”
on Abou Diaby, who missed the end of the Premier League season…
“He is fit, raring to go and will be on the tour. That is fantastic news for him and us.”
on Jack Wilshere (ankle)….
“It is impossible to set a concrete deadline at the moment. But it is all OK. He is as quick as we expected him to be. His ankle is good and his knee is good. There is no set-back. It difficult to say ‘it will be this week in September or October’ when he is back in training. He has been out for a year and I don’t want to put any pressure on him.”
on Tomas Rosicky (plantaris tendon)…
“It will be six to eight weeks until he is back in training. It was his [plantaris tendon], it was done at the Euros.”
on Emmanuel Frimpong (knee)…
“Emmanuel is doing very well. It will be the end of September or perhaps into October for him.”
on Mikel Arteta, who missed the end of the Premier League season…
“He is fit now.”
on Lukasz Fabianski, who missed Euro 2012…
“He is OK and will travel to the tour.”

Re: Injury News anyone ?
.... now he's signed his contract extension I fully expect him to announce his retirement from football (i.e. back to where he was pre January for 3 years) around December.Jack Stealer wrote:No surprise about Bac, but hadn't realised Rosicky was so far off, thought he was touch and go for Czech Republic's final game at the Euro's. Re: Injury News anyone ?
Apparently Robin van Persie is short of fitness so is staying behind rather than joining the pre season tour of Asia to work on the said shortage of fitness.. apart from that I have no news.

To be fair, Koscielny, Giroud, Podolski and Mertesacker are also staying behind to work on their fitness, so maybe it's truefranksav63 wrote:Really... and you believe that do you...Bradywasking wrote:Apparently Robin van Persie is short of fitness so is staying behind rather than joining the pre season tour of Asia to work on the said shortage of fitness.. apart from that I have no news.![]()

Re: Injury News anyone ?
Ah no I don't..there is nothing that the missing players could do in England that they couldn't do in Asia...apart from the fitness aspect of the tour there is also the team/character building. The Club are disrespecting us with their statement on RVP not going. I was trying sarcasm in that post hence the confused similes.franksav63 wrote:Really... and you believe that do you...Bradywasking wrote:Apparently Robin van Persie is short of fitness so is staying behind rather than joining the pre season tour of Asia to work on the said shortage of fitness.. apart from that I have no news.![]()

But Walcott and Chamberlin are fit enough to go?
It really is now or never for Diaby, Rosicky and Jack out, Ramsey at the Olympics.
Crucial few weeks in his career.
