I think he was highlighting the difference between the 2 sports.
And as for it being a hobby and not a sport :banghead: I can't think of a single footballer playing now who has half the guts these guys have. Griple (prob spelt his name wrong) had an accident and dislocated his sholder, got a team mate to pull his arm and put it back in. Got back on his bike a nearly won the day. A footballer with a dislocated sholder would need a team of medics air ambulance and private hospital in Milan to recover.
No. What he said was "Send them to a football match".

Hobbyist.

Interestingly, I have played on with a dislocated shoulder. And once with a broken toe. And twice with a broken nose. And once with a cut that needed stitching held together with a blob of Vaseline. Not all footballers are like FakeRonaldoLadyMan. 8)

Grew up on the same Kilburn council estates as I did, did old Wiggo. Same age as me too. We weren't best buds but would have done the old head nod back in the day.

He's not a bad lad at all.

This mother fucker is rooting for him. 8)
Tarquin.

You pal, just have no appreciation for the finer, finesse sports such as Cycling and of course the chess of sporting events, American Football.

I mean, who could forget your anitcs on the golf course, putting off Rory McIlroy as he was practising.

Wiggo was right about you neanderthal football types.

One more stage down....

Time unchanged....day off tomorrow...

Then the two big big stages and with some luck Brad will win

think the football comment was a bit tongue in cheek. the next stage is crucial get thru that intact and cant see him not doing it. One worrying thing is the increasingly uppitty and irratating prematurely balding, ginger, plastic brit froome, and his comments about winning it himself and not being allowed to.

imo he can f right off, up until last years vuelta he was gash. hes benefitted massively from team sky and wouldnt be anywhere near leading the gc were he not in sky with the likes of the ebh, porte and rogers around him.

Nibali won't beat him, Wiggins will win, bar some bizarre incident with him or bike.

Why fuck off Froome? This guy has been immense and without him arguably Wiggins would not be in the position he is today.

As for Bradley it's history being made and only a crash will stop him. And even then I think he'd ride with his leg hanging off and win it.
