Hlebby and the Italian Connection!

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

Maybe any poems on a Football Website/Forum should be about Football or Football Players or Football Fans Or Football Forums, which up to a point is understandable :?: :rubchin:

Perhaps if we consider ourselves as houses, we all have windows, some more than others, but from those windows we are able to obtain views of the outside world, some windows face a particular direction and so allow us to see certain views of that part of the world, whilst a window facing another direction allows us to see certain views of a different part of the world, so if we have more than one window, it follows that we are more likely to have a wider view and so knowledge of the world around us.

This was brought to you by 'Windows R Us' :wink: - please feel free to keep them clear, open them wider or close them or smash them, that of course will depend on one's world view. Perhaps we should just:

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last for ever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

I dream of one more Championship or even Champions League title before I die. But whenever I dream these words spring to my mind... :cry:
Or perhaos...as Tom Waits once said/asked:

"Why Is The Dream Always Sweeter Than The Taste?"
