Arsenal Till I Die wrote:If the impossible was to happen and any of our former *word censors* want to come back to us and play for us again would you welcome them back?

1) Reyes (Not a *word censor* in my eyes, did us well but bitched and moaned a lot.
2) Ashley Cole
3) Helb
4)Flamini
5) Adebayor
6) Nasri
7)Fabregas (Not a *word censor* to some but he is to others)
(8) van Perise
9)Other *specify*

Personally, I wouldn't welcome him back with open arms and I have to grit my teeth to even mention it but I wouldn actually say no to having Cole at left back again. Reyes I have no problem with either. I would also welcome back Fabregas if he was committed enough to Arsenal.
Reyes: baby, wouldn't improve us.
Cole: would be class but never ever ever ever ever would I be happy to see him in an AFC shirt.
Hleb: no hard feelings but didn't think he was ever good enough for us, especially not now
Flamini: Flamini of 2008 would be a great signing, not sure he's the same player now but either way I'd probably be against signing him.
Adebayor: could do with him but never ever ever
Nasri: never
Fabregas: always. World class player and you could see the club did (and still does) mean a lot to him, no hard feelings at all.
RvP: never. Don't believe all the shite he's spouting off, amongst the biggest traitors in our history.

I would drive over to barca to bring Cesc back in the morning if he agreed to it. I will not say a bad word against the guy and I feel that we fcuked him about asking him to carry a squad with too many shite players in it  He deserved better and I wish him nothing but success

Reyes is a guy that I always rated and felt that we (not the fans) didn't do enough to help him settle. Was treated badly by an arrogant French player who felt his status was being undermined by this young up and coming superstar

The rest can go fcuk themselves and each other as far as I am concerned

Aside from Fabregas, I#ve been racking my brains to think what other ex-players I'd take back, and I've come up with:

Lehmann: 90% for the banter, 10% because he's probably still better than Flappyhandski anyway.
Henry: don't think he'd really be useful at all in another year's time but I'd take the King back even if he couldn't walk.
Diarra: criminally underrated by us, shocking how he was allowed to rot on the bench whilst that greedy prick Flamini continued to play despite the fact he was obviously going to piss off for the money. Think he is probably a bit of a brat but never given a chance to fulfil his potential here and would be a huge upgrade on Song.

The rest are either too old, too shit, not fit to wear the cannon or a combination of the 3.

Do you know what? I'd almost forgotten how badly Reyes appeared to be treated by Henry but it was unedifying to say the least.

I'm sad to say I was blinded by Henry's brilliance at the time and kind of ignored it. Jose would have been better off never leaving Seville in retrospect as I doubt he'll have fond memories of the Arsenal. :(

Ah, CGWCH. Commonsense as always from your fine self. I always thought you should be on another forum. One of the few who I've missed from here.

Hello DS, great to see you back mate. I'm blushing at those nice words

None of the above. But I would like to see Bergkamp as a coach and in the future Adams but hey those guys are true gunners always will be.

THE KIND OF TOUGH TAACKLING COMMITED GUY WE NEED IN CENTRAL MID.

AND HE'S ON A FREE SO WHY HAVE THE ARSENAL BOARD NOT SANCTIONED THIS MOVE?
I think I read somewhere that Flamini signed a 1 year extension at AC Milan.

I would love Fabregas back and actually think it might well happen toward the end of his career

The only players to return will be once they're past their best and for a last pay-day. Henry, Sol, Lehmann so far. We can look forward to Cesc, Kolo, Clichy, Nasri, RVP, Song. Any old sausage who fancies a trip down memory lane. We will resemble an MLS Club before long.

Reyes: Why, no probs with him, just shite
Cole:Not at all, he's a prick, end of his career as well
Hleb: Not good enough for us, sank at Birmingham a few years ago
Flamini: Yea sure, why not. Decent squaddie, seems a nice lad. Badly treated by us like Edu was
Adebayor: Can be lethal, too much of a dick to have associated with us though
Nasri: Can't stand him. In Ashley territory now
Fabregas: In a second,. Fabulous player. Still love the guy, absolute class. Look at how he's carried himself compared to RvP! Loves the club as well, always talks of us, tweets about us, even when we signed Cazorla he was excited.Top professional and you can see how much of a well grounded nice lad he is. Took a paycut to go to Barca as well. A rare breed!
RvP: Twat! No chance. Haven't seen a change in a players personality like this ever, and never have I misjudged somebody so badly. Seemed to truly love the club for 8 years and thought he'd go abroad, but this and what he's saying now?!! Like he's been bumped on the head. In same bracket as Nasri, Ashley and Adebarndoor. Did I mention I hate him!

agree with almost al of that except the Flamster bit
how was he badly treated?
our natural captain - Gilberto and a great young signing - Diarra were both kept out of the team by his form

My feelings too, give him four seasons back at Barca and his Arsenal dna will lure him back to us.
Also agree that Reyes wasn't given enough back up from the club or certain teamates.
Should have made Vieira a player coach / coach a year or two back - the lift it would have given the fans and the club i.n general, like we witnessed with Henry's fleeting return.

I have never understood the vitriol aimed at Reyes. A very good player for us who always gave his all. He simply wanted to go home to Spain. Give me him any day over the likes of Walcott, Ramsey, Gervinho etc. He had more talent and showed more fight than all of them put together.

start of the '05 season Reyes was as good as any player in the league
his bottle went after ManUre (scandalously) kicked him out of the #50 game - that ref was bought
Fergie sent his team out to do the same thing to Overmars in '98 but they all got booked and then Marc rinsed them out
sadly Jose Antonio was a few mussels short of the full paella - Marca journo was asked if he'd learnt English and said he'll have to learn Spanish first
a retard (even by footballer standards)
