What was your favourite season?
Re: What was your favourite season?
2003-4 season Henry was on fire and we played some great stuff, a Friday night 5-0 win over Leeds stands out in the memory.

Not very original but has to be 2003/4 for me as well. TH14, DB10, Pires, Vieira, Sol, Freddie, I could go on.
Unbeaten all season, exciting, fast paced football, winning the league at Shite Hart Lane, THE dream season.
Oh, and we played at Highbury.

2001-2002. We played better football than in the Invincible season imo. We won the double too.

1986/87 for me. We went on that long unbeaten run which after the early 80s dross felt really great. Won our first trophy for years but more importantly included my favorite game i saw live, the 2 1 win in the replay at WHL.

Has to be last season, didn't attend one single home game, saved a fortune and missed fuck all of any note in the process

Invincibles season here. First season fully broadcasted to brazil and when you are a 14 yo kid, that's really impressive stuff to watch

Re: What was your favourite season?
Now. This may seem to many people an odd choice for favourite season. We reached two finals and lost them both. If my memory serves me correctly, we played 70 games. I managed to be at 46 of them. 1979-80.
The reason why it was special for me was that I was one of a group of 5 friends who had met as teenagers at the Arsenal in the 70s, stood in the same place on the North Bank for every home game, and in 1979-80 we travelled everywhere - work permitting - to see them play. Together.
And 1979-80 was the last season in which we were all together just like that, as mates. Many highs - beating LIverpool (eventually) in the FA Cup marathon, and Juve away in the ECWC semi stand out. But two lows in 5 days - losing to West Ham and Valencia - devastating.
We sort-of split up and went our separate ways after that season ended. One of the 4, I'm still in touch with. The other 3 I have not seen since 1980, 1994, and 1995 - and the later two were accidental bumping into's.
Great memories though.
