Should have enough to despatch these comfortably with a few players given a well-earned rest. Can only echo the hopes for Giroud to score. Just needs a bit of luck like Gervinho with the rebound off the post falling to his feet a yard out, unfortunately Vermaelen's saved shot rebounded to Cazorla/Walcott for the 6th, think you could see his frustration as he walloped the ball back into the net.

This game will give us the first glimpse of our future manager in the dugout, as Le Fraud serves his first of a three match European ban. :D :barscarf: :barscarf:

A much tougher game than many are predicting - any win will do for me and I don't give a shit who scores either.

I'd keep Giroud out of the side - rarely does a player play well against his former club so soon after leaving them. The boy will be in the spotlight even more

With montpellier's form and international experience, i fully expect us to win by 2+ goals whilst resting gibbs and arteta and giving Koscielny some playing time.

Giroud surely will score?

Wenger has backed himself into a corner for this one imo - how can he drop any player on the back of a 6-1 victory and if he "rests" players ahead of the weekend game then that will be shockingly disrespectful to the French side and we have all seen how that has bitten us on the arse in the past

I would start the same team again - there is no way any player should need a rest just 4 weeks into the season especially when we are on the tues night games this week. If we are winning comfortably with 30mins to go then bring on the likes of kos to work on his fitness levels but the team is more important than any individual imo.

For me Giroud cannot win here - if he scores then people will say that he can only score against his old team or weak teams from a weak league and it still won't get the English media or numb nut fans off his back. Be better if he can score his first goal at the weekend and then kick on from there 8)

He could rest Chamberlain though with the excuse that he played twice for England and move Gervinho across which won't show any disrespect to them.

I would be quite happy with a draw -with 2 home matches to follow in the CL. This is a very tough game.

I would be quite happy if Giroud was left out of the side for the rest of the season :D
