As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
While including "I told you so" on this forum is asking for some collective piss-taking, the point made about the BFG is a good one. It never ceases to amaze me how quick many people are to completely write off new signings. The BFG, Jenks, Gibbs, Kos etc were all slagged-off and written-off last season by the majority on here and now, a few games into the season, the BFG is undroppable.
I remember TH14 taking a couple of months to get his first goal. DB10 didn't set the world alight to start with. Plenty of players took a while to get going, so how about giving the younger players, Giraud and others a few months to settle in. Although somewhar unlikely, the Forehead's form might end up embarrasing a few posters.
Maybe we should also have a "I was wrong about ...." thread (Like my worries about Cazorla's erratic form).

I fcuking doubt that - they say form is fleeting but class is permanent and the forehead is an example of that only in reverse There is no way in the world that he will ever be classed as a good enough footballer to be playing at a club like our's imo
Don't really agree with applying the "Bergkamp didn't score for 8 games" or whatever argument to new players like Giroud. With all due respect to our extremely handsome Frenchman, Dennis Bergkamp was an absolute class act when he came to AFC. Regardless of struggling in their first month or two in English football, to compare a player of Bergkamp's unquestionably permanent class to Giroud, who can best be described as a real handful and a grafter who is extremely rough around the edges is absurd. Like saying "Ian Wright was nearly 22 when he was spotted by Palace so there's still every chance of Eastmond becoming an AFC legend".

I've tried making this point about Giroud. To compare a guy who had already lit up World Cups and won major European trophies with Giroud is some sort of sick joke......and I'm not laughing
