Man Of The Match Thread - for All Games

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

First goal tonight set up by another perfectly weighted through ball by our midget russian 8)
Laid on the pass for chamakh's first goal. Made the driving run and shot from which theo scored our 6th goal.
Do I need to go on ? :barscarf:
So ignoring a pass completion rate that makes Ramsey's look world class, backheeling and outside of the boot flicking Alex Song style when 4-0 down, pathetic shooting.........yes you did need to go on.

At this rate of tunnel vision viewing mate, you'll be claiming Mertesacker had a stormer too :D

My 9 year old son got "BFG" and number 4 on the back of his shirt last saturday   :barscarf: :barscarf:
His mother and grandparents were not overly impressed though
"Oh, BFG like the Roald Dahl character? I see".

Hard to pick a man of the match when the team was a collective brain fart but Mertesacker gets it for me

Jesus - tough one today. Cazorla or Mannone - on the basis that they didn't fuck up spectacularly at any point unlike every other player on the field

Only one player deserves it our big f***ing German.

In my opinion the best defender in the league right now. All the others didn't bother turning up :banghead:

Sagna for me. Young did shit all match long. Arteta did well too, having to cope with rooney and the LB disaster.

Sagna , done his job and pushed on at every opportunity.

On Liverpool FC this is called the Stevie G award as by law Stevie has to get it every game.
