If Arteta gets injured we will genuinely be absolute fucked beyond comprehension. Look at each game he missed last year and we couldn't create anything and defended worse than normal. Haven't got figures but from memory the games he missed we were awful: the August games before he signed, the games he missed over Christmas (Swansea, United) and the games when he got injured at the end (Wigan, Chelsea, Norwich, West Brom). We'll completely fall to pieces unless he plays 38 games like van Staplecunt somehow did last season.SteveO 35 wrote:Exactly Frank - what the f++k do you know? Have you ever worked a day in football eh? You have no right to an opinion unless you've worked in football for 30 years. Hadn't you heard that Mannone's loan spell at Hull has given him "the mentality to be the number 1", and that Santos is 'serious' in everything he does (I can only presume Wenger meant when the useless fat *word censored* is looking at a menu).franksav63 wrote:I think all of us on here saw what was going to happen before the season, what was required, (as a bare minumum)
An experienced keeper (to give Schez competition)
A left back (with Gibbs being another Perma crock)
A DM (Diaby was never going to play more than 3 games in a row)
And now we've got a situation with:-
Mannone (A big nosed useless *word censored* who Barnsley didn't want)
An out of form TV5 filling in at left back (coz Santos is a useless, overweight wanker)
And a muddle of a midfield, where we've got no drive and little of no defensive cover for a shit defence)
But what do we know eh?![]()
The midfield is an Arteta injury away from being the shambles we all also knew it would be when the Self Harmer chose not to sign a defensive midfield specialist having finally got rid of the useless Mong

Re: Gibbs
I thought Gibbs played excellent this season until he was injured. I agree that Wenger should have got somebody new in to stop Santos playing but I guess he thought Santos would improve.
Surely now he knows he wont and maybe in Jan we will get somebody. Champ League football is looking doubtful at the moment so just maybe things will happen.
As I understand all clubs get more money from the new Sky deal next season so the money should be there.

He may well have played well this season but we know from previous seasons he cant stay fit.How could our idiot manager go into our season with serial injured players like Diaby Gibbs and Rosicky still in the squad. But i havent worked in football for one day what do i knowsupergeorgegraham wrote:I thought Gibbs played excellent this season until he was injured. Re: Gibbs
When is Gibbs due back? Imo we should keep TV5 out left for the time being, hes a liability at CB, and Santos can stick to his KFC for all I care, at least then he definatley wouldn't get in the team, Wengers not that stupid.... or is he

He's on a 2week time trap for about a month now. Judging his usual fitness, i'd say he'll be back for New Year

Re: Gibbs
I've lost all faith in Gibbs. He will NEVER remain fit long enough to have a serious impact. A good player but as injury prone as Diaby. Time to move both on and give their wages to players without glass legs. Sad, but true, I'm afraid.

Re: Gibbs
with all of our injury prone players doesnt it just make you wonder what the feck they do in training to be so bloody fragile??every season now for the past 5-6 years we always have a spell when we have an entire team as long term injuries.no other team has this problem, why us?? Sadly Gibbs is just another injury prone player, shame cos we need him right now and he aint too bad

Re: Gibbs
It bemuses me how the likes of Gibbs, Rosicky and Diaby can carry out the most basic of day-to-day tasks like walking down stairs and crossing roads without incurring injury, such is their propensity to break down.

Unfortunately, the funda-mentalist in charge won't allow reason to prevail.
