Sunderland away - 9 Feb

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I reckon he's right. If we get turned over by Sunderland I expect Wenger to resign in the dressing room.
Aye, can't argue with that, we're utter shit, been second best in almost every game we've played this season and have no creativity whatsoever, we're atrocious. Having said that I still think O'Neill is a class manager and I'm 100% behind him, the bloke needs more than a year to get things right, he's targeting players who suit his system but there's still a load of deadwood to clear. Just need to hope for survival this season and then kick on. I imagine we'll lose to the Arsenal but obviously Arsenal are a mixed bag this season as well so you never know. We're hardly ever winning but we're not losing by many so it'll probably be close. I think I'll stick to just getting so pissed that I can't really see the pitch, the match is just there to spoil a good day out tbh
MON seems to like to sign players but also has a very select few from which he selects his team, irrespective of form. I suppose it's served him well over the years (Leicester esp.) but you end up with a bunch a fringe players who pick up their wages and know they aren't getting anywhere near the 1st team.

Come to think of it, I can think of a certain Frenchman who does the same......!

A game between possibly the two most boring teams in the league. Oh well - something to look forward to in the New Year i.e. a team whose fans are equally bored rigid by the shit they're being served up all season

 might be a laugh actually. Neither of our sets of fans will really expect to enjoy the game so we might as well all just get pissed and have a good sing, fuck it!

I've never enjoyed Sunderland away its not a lucky ground ,Attacked the opening game of the season when they came up in the 70's,stabbed in the leg on the way there once ,arrested for drunk and disorderly ,as my mate was arrested for nothing more being the singer of the Angelic upstarts (Thomas Mensi Jr) and Had my room broken into when playing there and some nice threads nicked.
Still we won the league there once ,pissing with rain and a 0-0 draw !

Would that explain the sudden influx of Stone Island jumpers in the Wearside area mate?

Sunderland Away

Post by Rosicky's Right Boot »

Does anyone know how likely the Sunderland away match on the 9th Feb is to go on general sale? Looking to go up there and book train tickets early but I don't want to jump the gun and end up £60 out of pocket.

I know last season the FA Cup game went to GS but obviously the higher allocation and transport issues helped nudge that down to us unfortunate sods who don't have a ST/away membership. :D

Thanks for any help, apologies if this is the wrong forum.

Book the trains i'd say. If the worst comes to the worst you could get tickets off here or on twitter.
