please read my post, i think u are missing the point. i pointed to a very specific time. not when hearn got involved. hearn has been great and been involved for years. my issue is with a very specific time.

Prize money was already big then. and many could make a living from it. the move to ali pali and its increaded capacity and the additon of mccoys as sponsors and the few ancilliary ones that came with the PL have not significantly increased the prize funds or the number who can make a living from it. they were already nearly at todays levels before these changes.

Would loved to have seen Barney deck the Power! Taylor was bang out of order. I love Barneveld and was praying he'd do that Stokey scummer...alas

at least some no mark wont win it like usual, o'shea and waites are decent players, they would do ok in the pdc, o shea would be top 25, waites could be top 6.
