The Guardian's "Top 100 Players in the World"

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Unless I've missed it, there doesn't appear to be a specific criteria for selecting players for the list, so it's always going to be a mishmash of opinions; some based on talent, some based on performances in 2012, others on reputation or potential, and some on their performances over several seasons.

100 players seems a lot, but when you break it down per position (e.g. top 20 strikers, centre midfielder, wingers/playmakers, central defenders, fullbacks/goalkeepers) then there's all of a sudden not so many places up for grabs once you've ticked off the usual suspects (Messi, Ronaldo, Iniesta, Casillas, blah blah blah).

Anyway, it's always going to be subjective. They should have asked me.

It's done on the year 2012 thats why they are not in it.Wilshire and Sagna were injured while Podolski was relegated at Koln and has been average with us
That doesn't explain why Vidic was in it! Didn't he play about 2 games last season because of injury?

That's beside the point anyway - Sagna is not good enough for that list.
