More excuses from Wenger after that defeat............

Yep, we all remember that terrible pitch being responsible for Fabianski coming charging off his line to present the Chavs with their winner. A domestic cup chucked away AGAIN

We're OK then. He could be off to Reading. Championship side which imo is his level.

I think training against Arshavin is making Sagna worse, thats no preperation to face the likes of Southhampton.

How could Adebayor be expected to put in any effort on a pitch like that? FA need to sort themselves out.

All that said, Arshavin only has himself to blame for losing motivation, losing fitness and basically pissing away all his talent. You hear about this happening to players (often as a warning to encourage talented young players to keep working) and sadly we've got a prime example to refer to forever more.
- sadly, we've also got numerous examples of the folly of underpaying your key players in order to over reward players who have yet to earn it... who could possible have thought that ingenious idea would backfire...? :rubchin: ... nice one, Arsene.
great post. it was a turning point for me too, i remember arshavin wasn't played because wenger "wanted to show the players they could beat man utd on the champions league without arshavin (who was cup tied for the competition having played for zenit)" so he didn't play our best player at the time against chelsea. we lost both.shocking management, arshavin was on fire at the time.

but the russian only has himself to blame for his decline. a waste of talent indeed.

Oh dear. Poor Andrey. :(
That nasty man Arsene Wenger treated him so awfully. Its a disgrace that he paid him £85,000pw and played him on the flank. Poor little Andrey.

Now we cant get rid of the little shite. No clamour to sign this "talented" player.
Remind me - didn't Wenger play Bentdner on the flank. And Theo. Did Wenger ruin them or were they just shit like Arseshavin? Now Podolskis playing on the flank. Will he be ruined too? And Ramsey?

Poor, poor Andrey. Played out of position. How dreadful.

Isn't this the same player that returned to zenit last season and helped them win the league? Apparently, was played in his favourite position. I'm sure if we signed David Villa he'd be on the right wing.
