Our Future
Re: Our Future
At least Stojkovic won the J League with Grampus Eight and came second the following year, something that Lord Wenger never managed to achieve

Fuck off and support Sp*rs, we don't need your sort, slagging off Lord Wenger and his impeccable record.SteveO 35 wrote:At least Stojkovic won the J League with Grampus Eight and came second the following year, something that Lord Wenger never managed to achieve

I think it refers to Stojkovic's rather than the Self Harmer's. They won the J League in 2010rodders999 wrote:What successful 2010 season

Ahh, its OK though mate because 2 years later they finished 7th so it looks like he's picked up all the tips of the trade from the Self Harmer himselfrodders999 wrote:Win a trophy? How vulgar. That’s the type of managerial incompetence that could see him earn 7 million quid a year once Turnip finally vacates the allotment! All hail Dragan Stojković, the new king of the cabbage patch!!

Re: Our Future
But he failed to go a league season unbeaten. I will therefore christen Dragan Stojković as "Wenger Lite". The same shitness but with less success before the fall.rodders999 wrote:SteveO 35 wrote: Ahh, its OK though mate because 2 years later they finished 7th so it looks like he's picked up all the tips of the trade from the Self Harmer himself

Maybe he'd do the job for 6.5 mill? It's a win win really.DB10GOONER wrote: But he failed to go a league season unbeaten. I will therefore christen Dragan Stojković as "Wenger Lite". The same shitness but with less success before the fall.
Re: Our Future
I can see Wenger buggering off at the end of the year. I don't think that he will spend this transfer window and things will go tits up. Diaby will go down injured yet again and we will continue to have our stop-start season of inconsistency. We will get bombed out by Bayern, but not as bad as people think. We will probably draw at the Emirates and lose at Bayern.
We will finish 6th and you will probably have the fans as divided as they are now. The next argument from the AKBs will be, 'He finished in the top 4 for 15 years and one outside it, he deserves that chance - blah blah blah'.
I'd say if he does walk, it will be down to the Wenger Out signs making it to the Emirates and some fan reaction for that to occur (eg - 'You don't know what you're doing'),. The press will play their part as well. I thought that the worm was turning with his tetchy press conferences, but then we won a few games and they stopped. I'd like to see that heat again.
I can't really see him having a say in his successor because I think that it will finally be up to Gazidis to properly do his job and he won't want to muck it up. I wouldn't be surprised to see us go for Michael Laudrup. I'd love it to be Guardiola, but I see him going to City unless Jose goes there.
When Wenger leaves here, he won't take a job straight away (if at all). I suspect that he will do television like he usually does with the Euros.
My 2 cents...

Re: Our Future
i just wish as most of us do that the wheels would really really come off our season in massive style, but alas season after season out comes the polyfilla and the cracks disappear to give false hope to the board ,the akb's and that stupid *word censored* who is our manager and away we go on another crack at the premier league come august only for it to be over by october, only for a massive result in an important match to give faith once again to the idiots, only for the season again to end with no trophies, and repeat .
unfortunately thats our future under our current regime,GRIM
