Welcome to the forum, mate. Thanks for the info. How do you think your lads will do against our inconsistant lot? Were you around for Chippy's tip at management?bha_fan wrote:Brighton fan here. Yes, your ticket includes transport to the ground. There's a queueing system at the station for Falmer but it goes down pretty quickly otherwise the park and rides or normal buses all accept the travel voucher.
Leaving the ground is a bit of a ballache on the train but if you hang around the concourses after the game the bars are all open and a swift pint and then the queues will be non-existent. The club have real ale (local brewers Harveys) and guest beers aplenty and our pies have been voted best in the country.
Train-wise, it might be an option to go via Lewes there and back and avoid Brighton. Both Brighton and Lewes have loads of pubs near the town centre. The police may well try to shove you into Trevorspoons but if you can, avoid and try one of the non-home fan boozers. There's dozens to choose from.
And one last thing - just a friendly word of warning that the police and stewards have started clamping down very hard on homophobic chanting this season compared with previous seasons and there's been prosecutions and bannings as a result. The usual low-level 'does your boyfriend know you're here' won't see you get into trouble but there's been some stuff said and gestured that has been deemed beyond the pale by the powers that be.
Enjoy your trip, we're rightly proud of our award-winning stadium having been homeless for 14 years -2 years playing our home games in Gillingham 100 miles away and then the rest in a converted running track. Our new home was built by the same company who built the Emirates, I just wish it was in town.

Booked up trains from Victoria. Though fuck it it's only 45min bus journey. Not going to be driving as on the piss all day so don't care. Can't wait for this. Not been this up for an away game for ages
Re: Brighton Away Tix travel pubs etc
Cheers. I think we'll do well for the first half then Wilshire and Walcott will run our centre-backs ragged in the second half. We're still very much a work in progress and play some nice football - very similar to Swansea but we are a bit clueless upfront ( a new signing this week might prove me wrong) and have no plan B but if we get Vicente fit then maybe... but my head says you'll score a bucketload in the second half.DB10GOONER wrote: Welcome to the forum, mate. I was most definitely there for Chippy's short reign and it's thanks to him I still have a club to support. He was the one who got our ex-chairman Dick Knight to rescue us from two thieving bastards who tried to kill the Albion. Brady was mates with Dick Knight and persuaded him to buy the club back in 1997. I was also there as a small lad when we first Arsenal played in the old first division. You were our first opponents and you stuffed us 4-0 on the pitch and took over our North Stand off it. I was up the other end standing on a milk crate with my mate and mate's dad thankfully. Happy days!

I've been to the new stadium several times. Brighton are my second club. Cracking stadium and very noisy crowd. Arsenal away support is, as we all know, fantastic. The atmosphere is going to be amazing.

The "direct" trains are being diverted via Worthing that's why it's taking 2 hours.dukeys a gooner wrote:Doing exactly the same journey! direct trains from london victoria apparently like every hour or 2.WEWEREINVINCIBLE! wrote:im on the 10:02 from victoria and the 21:00 coming back from brighton and they both go direct. no mention of engineering or having to get bus?? mind you it will take 2hrs??YellowRibbon wrote:Booked up trains from Victoria.
