Right now |'d rather have Jenkinson, he may not be as good but getting games would get him better and at least he would want to wear the shirt.

Sagna is just treading water trying to stay injury free and doing the bare minimum.

He was the best FB in the league not that long ago now he's about as reliable as Alan Hutton.

Lord Wenger has already lined up some fella from Toulouse for next season anyway. 5m apparently, so he'll make a nice little tidy profit for Stan again.

Same old, same old.

Lets play guess the year in which players will be sold

Sagna - 2013
Walcott - 2014
Wilshere - 2015

Any I've missed?

Sagna has been utter gash in most games this season BUT sell him?? no way! - rather than go overboard on his post-injury form, I'd rather remind myself of the solid job he's done over several seasons! - he's not even 30, so he's not passed it, so why make him walk the plank? - form is temporary, class is permanent.

Sign him up, Wenger! 8)

Sagna was poor today, but I'm surprised at the amount of vitriol being poured his way.
Not long ago people on here were crowning him the best RB in the PL / World. He's done well since he's been here and let's not forget the serious injuries he's suffered.
Given the crappy 4-1-2-3 system most teams play in the PL (who started that?) FBs need to get forward and risk getting caught out of position. That's when you need a DM (Diaby or Coquelin anyone?) to cover.

Sagna didn't look too interested today, but I think most of the team (Jack being the glowing exception) looked that way. The whole saggy-shouldered atmosphere around the team reminds me of a lot of the 70's, dour, uninspired, player's not talented enough and with not enough heart and fight. I spent quite a bit of that decade crying (starting with the FA Final against dirty-Leeds). Now, I'm too gown up, but inside I'm in bits.

Whilst in 2017 Diaby will be signing yet another contract extension offered to him by Wenger in the forlorn hope that he might just get a full season out of 'The Imperious One'!!

It's probably the first thing on Wenger's 'To Do' list after he signs his own extension in 2017 for guiding the club to yet more virtual trophies. :barscarf: :barscarf:

Didn't think Sagna was too bad meself like, not been performing like he can but he still looks a pretty useful RB. If he's had his head turned then I suppose there's not much that can be done but otherwise I'd imagine he'll get back to his best soon enough.

Our best defender over recent seasons.

Seems like he is fed up that he has not been offered a contract extension and has seemingly been earmarked for the summer sell off.

northbankbren wrote:He was an absolute joke in the first half today, and he's been poor all season. HIs defensive positioning is almost non-existant and he makes no real effort to track back when needed.

He cant defend and quite frankly its pointless letting him go forward because he cant put a decent ball in the box, so he doest cut the mustard for the new breed of attacking wing back.

More than anything though its his effort levels, he hardly ever breaks out of a jog and its today he pretty much gave up every time a player went past him.

It been like that almost every time he's played this season. His body language is that of someone who doesnt give a shit.

Sell him. Now.
Agree, where was he for the two goals?? About 20 yards behind the play. Drop him, give Jenkinson a run of games. We need some Brit-nish grit in the back four.

It is a shame about Sagna. He is a very decent player who chose to come to a Club with no ambition and a dreadful manager. Elsewhere I am sure he would have had some trophies to show for his efforts. Alas at Arsenal that is just not going to happen any time soon under this regime.

It's all a rouse you fools .
Sagna has seen how Ramsey got a new improved deal on the back of turning in shit performances week after week and has realised this is the way forward to secure a better deal .
I like his style ,this mans not stupid !
More great man managing by le prof !
