There was some cartoon on tv years ago where the father dog referred to his son as "augie my son my son" - of course one night I went with my dads pub pool team and whilst slightly pissed my dad referred to me as "augie my son my son" and it goes without saying that the name has stuck ever since 
I have never really minded it as a nickname tbh and hardly anybody refers to me as anything other than augie these days and I rarely even respond to people calling me Sean (my proper name)

"4 Grabs" was the nickname of my geography teacher, Mr Gary Roper. One day I took my revenge, my username is the tweet I put out as I did so.
