I said 6th back in December and I still think we will finish 6th. The only thing that might change would be Everton going on a slump of losing instead of their millionth drawn game.

FWIW my top 6

1.Rapist FC
2.Moneybags Mancs
3.Scum/Chavs
4.Chavs/Scum
5.Everton
6.Us

Not sure about 3rd/4th because I think Ape boy in the form he'is in will get them past the chavs but if he's injured then they'll drag themselves just over the line to 4th.

Would love a good draw and a Wembley final because anything can happen in a final as the chavs and Birmingham showed. If we bag the FA cup, I won't give a flying if we finish 7th.

Agree with most of that except I am expecting us to finish 5th - the one clause I have in that prediction though is that it is possible that we will collapse altogether should we lose against the scum cos I could see morale crashing amongst the players as the acceptance that they will be playing thurs night football next season  If that happened then there is a chance that Everton could overtake us but tbh I think their season has already gone into decline and their squad will be just too thin to last the course

On paper 4th place looks achievable, with the spuds having much tougher games, however I still think it will be 5th or 6th for us, I think we will lose at shite lane (even a draw won't be enough) and drop points away to inferior opposition, thus allowing the spuds the luxury of losing to the chavs and at l'pool.
As much as I want Wenger gone and am willing to miss out on clge in order to put pressure on him, I don't want to miss out to those *word censored*, alas, I think it is inevitable.

quite a few opportunities for teams to take points off one another up there

i reckon week 6-8 will do for tottenham, everton chelsea and man city back to back will break them. chelsea at home to everton on the last day will be pivotal along with the liverpool-chav and merseyside derby a week before.

it's there for us if we want it basically, but we went on an unbelievable run last year. we are in piss poor form with a worse team. if we scrape 4th we will be very very lucky.

I think the spuds will probably just nick fourth this year and we'll finish 5th. It will probably all come down to the game at shite fart lane. If we win the spuds will drop their heads and capitulate. They are desperate not to get humiliated by us yet again.

But I also feel there is a lot hanging psychologically on our performances against Bayern. If we get badly beaten by the krauts over both legs the wheels might fall off just like last season, except with no RVP to save us this time.

Either way, Wenger's squads are only mentally conditioned and capable of squeaking into 3rd or 4th by the barest of margins now, with the margin getting slimmer each season. Anything beyond that is beyond them mentally since the players have all been repeatedly told that 4th is a trophy and fat new contracts are theres for only getting 4th. That's why the French flounce has to go.

I want us to nick it from spurts on goal difference in extra time on the last day of the season. :barscarf:

Ever the optimist... against this time last year, we've conceded less, lost less, only scored 3 less goals, are no longer a 1 man band and have got rid of Santos!

We're also going to 'win at the shithole' ... notably because I'm going! :D

I can't bring myself to think of totnum finishing above us for the first time in eighteen years. It ain't gonna happen.

If they find themselves a few points in front, with a few games to go, they will be pooping themselves. The bottle will go.

Bale is the single most over-rated player in world football, mate. Does fucking nothing for 4 or 5 games, has a blinder for 1 or 2 games, gets called "in the Messi bracket" by Chris "Look at me, Daddy!" Kamara and then promptly does fuck all for another 3 or 4 games. He also never turns up against us.

Never in the history of humanity has a monkey-featured arsehole been so over-rated.
He's not in the Messi bracket but still top class. He's winning games for the scum single-handedly at the moment.

Using that I come up with...

Man Utd 95 pts
Man City 84 pts
Chelsea 78pts
Arsenal 69 pts
Spuds 66 pts

...

Southampton 31 pts
Villa 29 points
Wigan 28 pts
QPR 23 pts

All bollocks, of course :D

Chelsea finished 6th last season so 5th would be an improvement

But knowing them they will still win a trophy

Agreed - just goes to show that as shit as we've been all season if we hadn't abjectly surrendered 3 points on both occasions and had instead drawn both or won one and lost one we'd be in 3rd and 4 points ahead of them despite being shit all season. That really sums up how low we're setting the bar by celebrating 4th place as a trophy.

Come to think of it we are probably in a better position now than we were last season at this same period. True we are a couple of pts less and that may make the difference, but RVP went off form toward the end and Arteta was injured if I remember correctly. Also we have a competent left back now. It definitely wont be comfortable.

All i think it goes to show is that the 'best league in the world ' is far from it.

Mancs are running away with it because of a geriatric sister in law shagger and the dutchman....they could reach 100pts or win the league in March :banghead:
Chavs and Shitty have the best squad in the league bar none but arehampered by sh*te owners and negative managers.
The scum have no strikers and the apeman. One injury to the apeman and their goals are gone.

Everto's form was built on Fellaini and Baines. Fellaini always fades and a LB isn't going to propel you into top 4 especially when your top striker seems to have forgotten where the net is.

For us to be anywhere near the top 4 is testament to the awful state the premier league is in. Simple bit of organistation and a decent scouting network means the only team that can hold their heads high this season are Swansea.

This same league allows a dreadful team like Stoke to still be top half with one win away from home. Wigan to be sh*te all season till the obligatory push for safety in spring.

This league is got only one thing going for it, ridiculous bags of cash from broadcasters and that only benfits the players
